Ok due to some Forum Rules issues I am re-starting this thread... with a few MINOR changes and Mod approval.

ONLINE MICRO BATTLES!

OK, so here is the idea. You post a single unit from any 40K codex (NOT INCLUDING SPECIAL CHARACTERS). Include the unit name, stats, and all special rules and wargear rule the unit has. Please be specific as the only codex I own anymore is Necrons. I will post and match up opponents according to points/FOC/measure/countermeasure/ or even requests using an online dice roller. In concept I will be using a 48”x48” table and will go thru all 3 phases of the game until the battle is over. Please specify also if your unit has a preference to Shooting or CC. I will then post the results. I will start with 3 rounds (depending on participation) and winners will progress thru the playoff tree until we have a winner. There is no prize for winning other than bragging rights. It’s all for fun. Im sure most of you have seen this before. In no way do I take credit for the originality of this idea but I do think it’s a fun way to pass the time on lunch breaks. I will start when I get 8 entries. Let get started and have some fun. I’ll go first!

Perhaps he has a job like mine? I have constant access to a computer, and I get a project a week. I am usually done by wednesday... so I come in and get paid. Surpsrised he doesn't pay per project instead of per hour...

Anyway, I won't de-rail it anymore, though think before you post, there are countless types of jobs out there.

My last rotation had me sitting on ass browsing the web a solid 4 hours a day (and yes, some of those hours were occasionally spent on Vassal). Sadly, I don't get paid on rotations, but hopefully this time next year I'll be doing the same for $60 an hour.

If someone doesn't want to use Vassal in this situation, that's a bit weird, but okay.

Chaos Dreadnought

Special rules: "Enraged": At the beggining of the Move Phase of the CSM player, roll 1D6 for each Chaos Dreadnoguht who's NOT in CC. Then, check the results:

1.- Frenzied Barrage: cannot move on that turn, and must shoot at the closest unit, friend or foe, with ALL weapons twice. If he can't shoot, use the 2-5 result.

2-5.- Normal: as the title says. No special things anymore, on that turn.

6.- Combat Rage: on the Move Phase, he must advance towards the closest enemy. He can't shoot: he's now under the "Fast" special rule, so he must run towards it and face it. If he's close enough, the Chaos Dreadnought can assault that enemy. If he can't move, use the result as 2-5, normal.

Equipped with CC weapon (with rwin-linked boltgun) and Missile Launcher.

Missile Launcher (frag. missile): 120 cm; Str 4; Penetration 6; heavy weapon 1 shoot, area.
Missile Launcher (piercing missile): 120 cm; Str 8; Penetration 3; heavy weapon 1 shoot.

Sorry! My Chaos Dreadnought prefers tp shoot the most apropiate missile type to his enemy (frag or piercing), but advancing to assault.

It's not really 9, Chris and I pretty much posted the same thing. We've discussed the issue over PM, and the Hammer-variant gets the go-ahead from both of us over the Claw-variant.
