So as the thread title states what games do you hope will be announced this year?.

Elder Scrolls 5: Bethesda has finished working on Fallout 3 DLC and Obsidian is developing New Vegas, leaving Bethesda with no announced titles in development.
The possibility of the game using ID Software engine technology instead of the Gamebyro engine is also promising,here's hoping some information is released this year.

Half Life 2 Episode 3/Half Life 3: The last Half Life title was released in October 2007 with the exception of two pieces of concept art and occasional brief mentions in interviews.
Nothing has been seen or heard regarding the next title of the Half Life franchise hopefully Valve will change course in 2010 and provide some information.

Quake 5: I enjoyed the campaign of Quake 4 hopefully ID will shed some light on the game sometime soon.

Area 51 Sequel : I really enjoyed the first game (David Duchovny voicing main character=Win) unfortunately given the status of Midway a sequel is not likely to happen.

The Suffering 3: Unlikely but Surreal Software was acquired by Warner Bros Interactive so who knows.

Mass Effect 3: I wasn't to thrilled with the direction of Mass Effect 2 but hopefully Bioware fixes its mistakes and delivers a satisfying final entry to Shepard's story.

Little big planet 2 really who cant like the sound of that?

Space Marine whenever that's out.

Everquest next was the one i was really hoping for, AND IT HAPPENED

Since when? All I've heard is rumors and the only official word from Bethesda is that they're working on a Elder Scrolls game.

Blizzard has been working on a brand new IP MMO title which is intriguing.

Also looking forward to a fething Diablo 3 release date.

Hoping for a new RPG game to satisfy my needs, and perhaps a goood RTS game. But most of all I am waiting for Diablo 3

Starwars Battlefront 3. Pleeeeeese Lucasarts! I'm surprised this hasn't already happened given the success of the first two games. But Lucasarts does have an unnanounced project...

Also looking for a new MMORPG that can captivate me like the original everquest did... There isnt a thing that has yet to top it!

Persona 5! Wishful thinking I suppose. If nothing else the Catherine trailer shows that it'd look nice.

Rage from id looks interesting, not sure if it has a release date yet.

If a new eldar scrolls game comes out, I will probably get it on special with every expectation of being underwhelmed, I didnt find Oblivion to be a particularly good game at all.

IMO Morrowind was superior other than Graphics and Combat Mechanics

Diablo 3 - ill book a cabin in the mountains for a week when it comes out

I was really looking forward to "The last Guardian" but it appears to have vanished since last years E3.

Welcome to the internet. Valve didn't even make Counterstrike, and CSS effectively is CS2. It's a dead game concept anyway - there's nowhere it can go that hasn't been done, and its strength is its simplicity. The '2' effect is due to the updated engine in some cases, and flagrant capitalisation in others. I am looking forward to Portal 2 though - P1 was clearly a concept game, despite how good it ultimately was.

Half-Life 2 annoyed me (living up to the original was too tall an order), but I would love to see HL3 announced because I still have hope that they'll make a fun, non-NPC-driven sequel... but not before I see every member of the Vance family die a horrible death. Please, please kill Alyx, Valve... and let me kill bloody scientists! Geez!

A proper announcement for D3 would be great. TES5 would also be supreme. Another HOMAM game because I'm a junkie for ho mams. Tekken 7 - why not? Capcom vs. SNK 3... please?

Diablo 3, and the SC Expansions, whenever those will be.

A new Elder Scrolls would be nice. I really prefered Morrowind to Oblivion though.

Aye +1, seems insane that there hasn't been a 360 version yet, blinkin shutting down games studios who don't deserve to be closed. Just hope they find someone who is able/willing to do it, as it's still one of my fave throw on and play games. probably the only reason I still have an xbox in the house as a 360 won't bloody run either.


Other than that..

Would love to see some sort of announcement from Blizzcon for the new MMO project, also any info on the Warcraft movie would be nice. That reminds me I need to order my online ticket, it was a fun watch last year.

To be fair I was just joking. And doesn't Valve own Counterstrike?

Saboteur 2 would be nice, the first one was pretty awesome. An irishman killing nazis in france, awesome.

Other than that another Battlefront with the same mechanics as Elite Squadron would be cool, orbital bombardment... never mind. That would just lead to people yelling "Nuke it from orbit, its the only way to be sure!" into the mikes thinking that they're original.

A realease date for the new LoZ game....

Would also love to see a real Duke Nukem first person shooter but that seems like a pipedream.

After the next Bioshock it'd be great if they returned to their scifi System Shock universe as well even if its a remake.

As far as Rlder scrolls going MMO, Im fairly certain thats false. Unless they just changed their minds all a sudden. I remember them saying pretty much, we will never take this game to MMO status. And I think thats a good thing. There isnt a better way to kill a series off then going MMO
