Wouldn't that be effective leadership...? It's like saying Hitler (waits for Glenn Beck's ears to prick up) choosing butter instead of guns. He would have been a great leader but for those naughty things like going to war and exterminating people...

That one was really odd. What does that even mean? Without the bloodshed, Stallin was basically an average political administrator with a bushy mustache. Not really all that horrible.

Actually, without the Bloodshed Stalin was a remarkable leader that industrialised one of the most back-water Third World Eastern European Countries into a Super Power in a couple of decades.

Good grief, this channel has less factual information than the cartoon network.
The really nice thing about linked youtube is that I don't have to click something. This has saved me countless times, and it has saved me again. Putting up a Beck youtube clip is like inviting someone to beat their own skulls with a hammer.

I stopped watching after about a minute. They seemed to spend half their time complaining that Obama wasn't providing any change and the other complaining about all the change Obama was trying to bring in.

Yup. Dude had great administrative skills. And no ruth whatsoever.

It's not a beck clip, it just starts with a three second beck soundbite. It's mostly Hannity and "expert editorials". As a fox watcher though I'm sure you've seen it all before though between having your head in one pile of sand and another.

1. You're right. Hannity is not like hitting your own skull with a hammer. Hannity is like a long drive. You've cranked a load of coffee to stay awake but thats not a problem because you're within 15 miles of the next town. Uh, oh looks like there's an accident up ahead and you can see cars sitting for a mile waiting for it to be cleared. When will it be cleared? oh the pain the pain! Its like that. But far, far worse.

Exactly this. I mean, it's like watching the view and expecting news and not opinions. Just because somethings is on Fox News doesn't mean it's a news show. If you were to try and fill 24 hours with actual news programing you would either run out of things to say or just be incredibly boring and not have viewers. The entire point of the opinions shows is to say something edgy and controversial so that people will get excited and either watch or talk about it. Both of those will increase the number of viewers.

I see three hours of Beck, O'Reilly and Hannity. Oh, and the O'Reilly rerun. So four.
Geraldo and Shepard Smith aren't exactly right-wing hacks, and Cavuto is a business program. Brett Baier's show is actually pretty good, the panels that he has on there are really well informed and the panelists tend to have a wide range of ideologies. Have you watched it?

The op-ed segments of fox actually have more air time then the news segments which is a bit beardy.
Almost just like CNN. We won't mention the hell of MSNBC.

Op eds are personality and editorial driven news segments, not political soap boxes, If I meant the rant hour I would have said "right wing political Op eds" though I find that even the most moderate program on fox tends to be aggressively right of center with any sort of hot issue. I have not watched Baier's show, I get the majority of my news from online sources these days as a matter of ease since I don't have a television. What you and I would likely consider a good range of ideologies (wide is not intrinsically good) and what we would both consider moderate or informed panelists are likely quite different given the tone of our previous conversations though.

Shepard Smith is straight news reporting. I don't have a clue what Geraldo is. So lets say Geraldo is opinion and give it 4. Pretty much the same as CNN. Again, I can't reference MSNBC shows.

We do have a few differences.
I, for one, wouldn't make sweeping generalizations about something that I have never watched.
I don't watch Fox News regularly because I'm not really all that "right wing" and mainly because I'm a bit too socially liberal to buy into the whole "culture war" thing. I'm indifferent to Gay Marriage, consider abortion to be an act of kindness in most cases, etc. I call everyone on their bs, which makes me seem right-wing to lefties and vice versa at times.

In Japan you can buy these things for long journeys which you pee in and it turns to jelly.

Mmm. Jelly.
Does it come with a little something to go with it?
