And I have to say I am beyond pleased with them.
I know there has been a lot of back and forth lately about business practices between Sabol and Battlefoam, but that is not what this thread is about.
It has been a long time since I have been literally blown away at the quality of a product, and these bags did that. Weird to think you could get so stoked about a bag full of foam, but I am.
I currently have 4 Sabol bags, two GW cases and various homemade contrivances and I have nothing bad to say about any them. However, as my model collections have grown and I started getting more, and larger models the other bags just don't cut it.
My Tyranids especially were not fitting in anything. The entire army with plenty of room to spare fits in a PACK 720. I made a custom tray that holds 3 Trygons, 3 Zoeys, 6 Hive Guard and a bunch of little models. Hormagants fit perfectly into trays as well as Genestealers who are a real PITA since they stick out in every direction.
It is awesome to see each model fit into the tray so perfectly. Plus, the trays are so efficient. 1, 1" troop tray for Battlefoam holds the equivalent of 2 1/2, 1" trays from Sabol. Your internal space in the bag is used far more efficiently.
The bags are also super sturdy. They have hard inserts that give them a super strong construction.
I had a really cool surprise while packing up my stuff for my coming move. A Battlefoam tray fits exactly into a legal sized box. I have a lot of cardboard legal file boxes around from work and to be able to fit spare trays exactly into them is awesome. I can securely store extra trays and then when I want to bring certain units, I just pull them out and stick them in the bag. These boxes are cheap as chips, too.
Also, the ability to stack the bags and zip them together is pretty cool. As I get more stuff I can buy the extension bags and just zip them onto the PACK 1520 I got for my IG.
So anyway, if you are looking to get a really fantastic piece of kit for your models, I can't recommend Battlefoam enough. Especially for large and weird shaped models, they are far, far ahead of the competition.
Also, I am moving soon and I asked them to please rush the order so I would have my bags in time for my move out date, and they went out of their way to make it happen, which was awesome.
Thanks to Darkwynn for the recommendation. All I needed was that little push to see that the clear choice for moving my models was Battlefoam.

Great catch on the legal box. I dont think it will replace the bags but good to know if I ever move. I have way more trays than I could fit in my bags.

Yeah, I was stoked on that, myself. I have a bunch of Baneblades and you can fit two into one Battlefoam tray, and two of those into a Legal Sized box. Since I don't use those often, storing them in a super cheap box that keeps them very safe is clutch.

Awesome.
I have a 432 on order for my Space Wolf Army. I made custom trays, also. The custom tray editor is a major plus.

Yeah, it makes storing your army so much easier. Those trygons are a PITA to store, they have to stand upright. Being able to get three in one tray is clutch.

Awesome dude.
It was clear from doing my own product research and reading customer testimonials that battlefoam is worth the price to me. My painting/converting ability has gotten to the point where I'm not content with fishing boxes or even GW's cases when it comes to my armies transportation. An army of drybrushed Skellies I didn't really care about back in the day, but my DKoK army and Beasties, although not pro painted by any means, demand a little bit more love in the transpo department. I was going to buy a few of their bags next paycheck regardless, but its good to see a good review right before my purchase.

Nice. Im making my own custom carrying device. Its basically a large wooden ammo crate that can fit 3 stacks of sabol pluck foam 15" high (for varying heights of trays).
However, this is time consuming in the extreme so this foam find will be helpful. Thanks.

Glad to help, fellas. I am extremely happy with my purchase.
My IG army fits into one bag, complete with three fully assembled Vednettas. That is pretty incredible.
@Darrian
You should definitely go Battlefoam. The cost isn't that much higher when you factor in how much more you can fit into a single bag. It is definitely worth it.

My only complaint with the Battlefoam bags so far has to be that the Warmachine/Hordes bags only come with one Medium tray. Two large, three smalls, but only ONE Medium?! I need to get around to buying more Medium trays, I've tried trading two smalls for one medium, but no one is willing.

Battlefoam makes GREAT products, and they stand behind them. Customer service rocks, too - when I asked about buying a replacement piece for my Xboard (after running it over with my car), they just mailed it to me.
I just desperately wish that they made a bag better suited for airline usage. The 720's dimensions are incompatible with overhead bin storage on the only airlines I use - 10"x16"x20" bag, please! Even just taking the 432 and giving it 10" of capacity would do - that extra 2.5" would be pure gold, when it comes to transporting things like Tyranids!
I'll probably end up with a 216 (personal item) and a 432 (carryon) before Adepticon next year, but I dream of a Battlefoam-implemented replacement for my Sabol Battalion bag. It wouldn't even have to be pure foam storage - give me 10" of tray storage, and use the leftover vertical space for a compartment for dice/templates/shaving kit.

I like their bags, they are quite nice. But I can never quite wrap my head around paying their exorbitant prices for cut foam when almost every city has an upholstery shop that you can buy foam at for $2-$5 a tray depending on the size and just cut your own. That that does take a little time.

Similar difference as for pluck foam - you won't get the most efficient possible layout, and that's significant for their target market - those of us who pack up our toy soldiers & travel with them.

I consider my time to have a certain value attached to it.
When it comes to buying precut foam vs cutting my own, the time vs cost is not even close. It is cheaper to buy the precut foam.
That extra dollar or 2 per tray saves me 30+ minutes of cutting per tray, as well as the 30+ minutes of laying out the tray before cutting.
Also, any time spent cutting foam is time I am not able to build models/paint/game, or any other thing I may choose to do.
I can make more cash. I can't make time back.
I love the BF trays I bought for my Sabol Army Transport. They are great for troops especially marines.
My only disappointment is that I cannot get 4 rhino chassis in one BF tray like I can the Sabol ones.
I can live with the sides bowing out.
I have the Malifaux and Warmachine bags. Love them.
I have everything I need for those games in one place.
I am very disorganized, so that is a great thing for me.

I work with retail stores for BF and I know that they can get the bags loaded out how you want provided it stays within the height requirements.

Are you looking to have 4 Rhinos on a Sabol sized foam tray?
If so I created this on the website for you. The Rhinos are on their side and the boxes at the bottom are for turrets and extra bits. If you have any questions please PM and I can get them answered for you.

This x100.
I, too, just got my Battlefoam recently (today, in fact). I was fairly disappointed with the delay (I had ordered a 1520 XL, and the initial stock was delayed by 15 days), and after seeing a few of the old pics with bad glue jobs was prepared to go through the hassle of getting replacements, because hey, I'm pessimistic like that.
The bag and foam seem to be perfect, though. I haven't had a chance to really get it loaded up, but it looks like it is going to be the perfect solution for me for both carting and long term storage in a sane manner.
One of the trays did not fit in the bag I ordered - not sure what happened there, some trays may be a little thick, but this isn't a deal breaker for me - the 1520 has enough room and then some for any of the single armies I have.
I'll definitely be ordering more to get the rest of my mini's stored over the next few months.

When ordering trays to fill a bag always make sure to account for the .25" bottom of each tray. Glad to hear you are happy with the bag. Thanks for your understanding with the delay. Enjoy your foam and bag!

I'm curious how this happened. Did you order a custom layout or just a standard set?
If it was the custom layout, did you remember to add the .25" to every tray's thickness when calculating the height of the trays you were buying?

I did make sure to add the .25 in per tray.
After doing some quick measurements, it looks like the 1520 XL may be just a little smaller on the inside than expected. Right now it has precisely 20.75" of foam inside of it, both by design and actual measurement. It has a resting clearance of about .75", and if I compress the foam in a way that I'm not entirely comfortable with and bend up/down on the bag, I can get it to about 1" clearance, but there is definitely not enough room to squeeze in the last 1" (1.25" with bottom) tray.
It might be possible if I wasn't concerned about the state of the mini's in the tray, given the fact that foam can be compressed to a degree, but it wouldn't be feasible to wrestle it in and out, really. It might be feasible if the top unzipped and you could drop the trays in, then cover, but the 1520 XL doesn't have that option (and I'm just as glad it doesn't).
I'm guessing it's not just me being bad at filling the bag, since the tray came loose in the box next to the filled bag from the factory.
Assuming my experience is typical, I would definitely recommend getting a 1520XL (and wow, the case is really nice, in addition to just the foam being great), but would also recommend treating it like it had ~21.5-21.75" clearance instead of 22"

I received my PACK 1520 XL last night. I didn't have much time to play with it, but I was immediately impressed with the outer shell and the capacity of most of the individual trays. It's a much more efficient way to transport my army, and will make it possible to do things like take my army on public transit, which is currently impossible with my hodge-podge of cases and boxes.
As an IG player, it's hard to state just how awesome the 72 infantry tray and 6 Chimera trays are for me. They're incredibly well designed compared to both my GW and Sabol pluck-foam cases; the narrow dividers really help with efficient transport. I think I'm going easily be able to squeeze the full contents of 3 GW cases and a SD case into the 1520 XL.
However, like Jokorey, I did notice that, having accounted for the extra 1/4th inch bases, one of the trays wasn't packed inside. I figured last night that I had just messed up the math when ordering, but I'm now curious if the tray isn't quite 22" tall.
I also noticed that the dimensions of the Chimera spaces in the "3 Leman Russ 3 Chimera" tray are about a quarter inch narrower than the dimensions of the spaces in the "6 Chimera" tray. Instead of being slightly wider than the Chimera, they're slightly too narrow. I can fit the tanks in if I squeeze, but over the long term I worry it'll scrape off the paint.
Honestly, neither of these are huge issues (especially since my last few tanks are unpainted at the moment) but between the two of them, I'll probably be writing BF an email when I get home this evening.

I noticed this too, and while I love my PACK 1520, I do need some more foam and I have been trying to figure out how I want to buy them.
I don't really need another PACK 1520 and I would really use fileboxes for 'storage' since I usually am not taking everything I own at once, so I wish there was a way to buy BULK FOAM without a bag.
10 'custom' BF trays is 300$ for 30 dollars each, but I can get a PACK that is going to have close to 10 trays for 275$. If there was a way to bulk-order foam for some sort of bulk rate, I would be very interested.
But I do love my trays. I love being able to carry everything with one hand.

If it's a 'bad glue' tray, at least as I've seen it, it will be quite visible (and note, I have no experience to say how common that may be - I'm assuming it's quite rare), with glue basically seeped everywhere.
More likely, the foam expands a bit due to the warm air, increasing the size of the holes, and then contracts, giving some 'stick' when you try to remove them.
