So obviously we were all drawn to DAKKA for some reason regarding miniature gaming of some type.

SO What I want to know is, what is the OTHER obsessions DAKKITES have.

Me personally, I collect PEZ dispensers. I have just over 200 at the moment, and some range in value from $50 to $100 for just one. I friggin love those things.
I also used to mod Power Wheels big time. 18v to 24v conversions would just be hilarious.
What about you DAKKA?

In your base, ignoring your logic.

Personally I enjoy collecting historical items. I don't care about specific items like the Mona Lisa or the such, I'm talking about the clay pipe used by some union soldier during the Civil War or the helmet worn by some unlucky fellow in the Vietnam War, personal items that meant a lot to the people who used them, but not to history itself.

So far I have a broken clay pipe from the Civil war, a Vietnam era helmet with a bullet hole in it, a mosin nagant issued during WW2, the combat boots my grandfather wore during the korean war, and I still look around for various items.

Hell, I even have an old coke bottle that was buried in my front yard from about the same time my house was built. The bottle was completely intact even though we had shoveled it out of the ground when we were expanding our driveway.

I am also trying to get my hands on Terry Pratchett hardbacks to fill out my collection.

Also increasing my collection of History books, especially dealing with the 30's and 40's.

I also build robots out of bits and bits of junk.

...Horror.

I have thousands of DvDs/video tapes of just about any horror film I come across, along with a veritable library of horror literature.
Not to mention a whole ton of "horror toys".

I also play bass and guitar.

I went dumpster diving once with a few friends just for kicks and found some pretty kickass stuff. A satellite dish, fire extinguisher, working cell phone, gameboy color, 8 dollars in coins, and a trashbag full of paper airplanes of all things, and loads of other stuff.

Computers, Kites, whole uneaten pizzas, and even a bicycle. Strange what you can find where the dumpster is gilded with gold...

As I found out when local law enforcement stopped by after a tenant threatened to get an AK-47 from my collection and kill someone (which is strange since that would involve breaking into a safe and I don't own an AK-47), I have 18 firearms. Mostly old military collectable stuff ranging from 1889-1969 and a few modern food getting and/or fun rifles.
I occasionally participate in competition shoots.
I work out like a crazy person since my ship date for the US Army is February and I'm in no where near the shape I want to be in.
P&P roleplaying is still a big deal for me also.
And who doesn't like video games?

Videogames, microforging [thinking of combining this with wargaming by making real, but tiny weapons for them], books, comics, knives, computers, junk collecting, amateur photography, carpentry, metalcraft, coffee, unusual teas, learning to play the keyboard, amateur sound engineering, guns, and oriental dinnerware. Mostly teacups in that area. My favorite are a green marble pattern. Historical? No, but damned good looking.

Model Rocketry FTW!!!!!

(ALthough you have to accept the fact that you are going to lose at least one in ten of your rockets, due to engines blowing up, parachute failing, or just plain losing the rocket in some trees or something.)

It's actually fairly inexpensive (cheaper than 40k by all means), and it's so awesome to have a crowd of people clustered around you in the local park. But also embarrassing when a rocket fails. I've even had one do a weird thing where it did a bunch of mid-air donuts at about head level. Scary Sh*t!

Also into airsoft.

No collections any more, but a keen Photographer... which in it's way is a collection Since I started my first course I've bought 2 more glasses, a light meter, an expensive tripod, a home studio lighting kit, filters, a backdrop stand set, a large roll of backdrop paper and a couple of additional flash heads. And I still keep seeing more stuff that I want!

Live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about his religion. Respect others in their views and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life. Beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and of service to your people. When your time comes to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song, and die like a hero going home.

I have a 1 of 2,000 alternate coverprint of Civil War Number 4 (the one with Thor) signed by the artists and writer that my brother got me for my birthday a few years ago.
Stan Lee signed one of my favorite comics as well, Iron Man Execute Program, despite that he wasn't involved in it's writing.

- Making noise with my guitar (I don't dare to call that "playing"). I own a black Jackson DK2M :3
- I have some CDs and a couple of Vynils (I mostly listen to metal music, but I also like some classic rock, punk, classical and movie OSTs)
- I also have a couple of movie DVDs and BR.

- PC games! mostly FPS (and mostly online).

- Comics and manga. I'm not an expert, but I love some comics and manga and I've filled a couple of shelves with them.

- Sci/Fi, Fantasy (related or not with GW) and horror books.

- Star Wars. The oldest movies, all the comics, action figures... I love them. I own 2 different VHS editions of the Original Trilogy, and the DVD edition. The OT novelizations. A soundtrack anthology from 1993 (I was eleven when I bought it ), and a couple of modern action figures and comics. Last week I had a nice surprised when I realized that one of the items I own has actually gotten more expensive in a couple of years. I bought a Gentle Giant figure of Princess Leia and Artoo in the Clone Wars animated style, it was like 100€. I think it's less than 10" tall. I saw it last week in the shop window of a comic book store for 300€.
