I think I'd have to see this painted to judge. I'm having a hard time seeing what you're going for.

the orb is cool - leave that.

hood is fine, leave that.

scythe is too big IMO, needs to be shoter, sharper, pointier. try using plasticard to make one.

See I like the scythe the size it is because it's an over compensation for his manliness.

It's also part of an inside joke from my D&D group when we tried to make soul caliber an rpg.

I dont think you have used to much. I do think however, you have to seriously refine your greenstuff work. this is a dumb question, but if you are having a tough time getting paint to stick to your pewter are you washing it first and then primering it?

4250 points of Blood Angels goodness, sweet and silky W12-L6-D4
1000 points of Teil-Shan (my own scheme) Eldar Craftworld in progress
800 points of unassembled Urban themed Imperial Guard

675 points of Commoraghs finest!

Lord Helmet - "I bet she gives great helmet."

Yes i washed it.. But I think the primer I have isn't meant for metal. I honestly have no bloody clue what kind of paint it is ether.

I just started with green stuff this morning so yes my technique needs a lot of refinement.

Edit: Thank you I thought this was pewter that means I have special paints I can use without pealing off or melting the plastic.

Use a fine grade automotive primer. Should work, and cheap. Spray a test mini first.

The stuff dripping off the scythe looks... off to me. The Scythe blad should be about 30 % smaller, even going for an OTT look. Its a bit too curved adn beak like, needs to be more blade-ish as opposed to beak-ish.

I may be making an odd reference but it looks like Lord Ahunes Scythe from World of Warcraft, now before im called a heretic hear me out. The Scythe looks way to big for more than half the races you can play as, it seems to kinda say look at my huge ass Scythe and look at your staff you call a weapon.

I'm afraid I think the scythe looks slightly ridiculous, a bit comic book-y i thats what you want great but just looks wrong with the rest of the very nice model

You got the joke! Also in D&D I played a halfling with a scythe a lot.

Err how to put this...yes the scythe is big, very warcraft, not really to my taste. However I think i may have discovered your painting problem. Your coats are way to thick, this can make the model dry at an absurdly slow rate, this also seems to make it more likely to peel, especially on metal models.

The scythe is too big, your paint is too thick, and you went a little overboard on the greenstuff. Use thinner coats of paint and try using some washes. Flat colors are boring to look at.

Yeah I figured out why my paint was doing that. My bedroom temperature is 26 degrees(Fahrenheit) and I don't notice it often.

I'm used to it I used to live near Alaska with no heaters.

@Vasarto Actually that is not a 360 just a case from one that I turned into a cup holder. My 360 broke so I turned most of it into cup holders.

I believe it is a very good idea the hooded lord with scythe! But I think you need a lot of work with green staff. It is not easy. A skilled modeler cold have done a very nice model out of your idea!
