Granted we already know a basic release schedule, but lets do another recent poll to see which codex you all want next! Note, I put all the codices for a reason. If the codex just came out within the last year and you think it sucks and you want another please select that codex.

Thanks!

Sisters of Battle with Ecclesiarchy elements, focusing on the former but allowing a full Ecclesiarchy-exclusive force.

Mind you, I'm not saying that's what needs to happen, only that's what I want most.

Ive heard that the Grey Knights are getting the next Codex...which is great but why cant they just create an Inquisition/Imperial Codex. Include the GK, the different Ordos and the Sisters of battle into one powerful Codex and let them loose on the 40k universe. Is there enough material to give the GK a whole codex without including the other Imperial factions....? Can any of these groups stand on their own without the others to fill out a 2000pt list without copious amounts of repetition.

I do not discriminate....all races are equally worthless....

Because they aren't stupid. They know such a codex would suck, and they know they'd get more profits from keeping the armies split.

Irrelevant. GW can give them the material, and all three factions (Grey Knights, Sisters, and Inquisition) operate independently of eachother quite frequently. Sisters, especially-- they are, and been since second edition, the army of the Ecclesiarchy first and foremost. They participate in crusades, and in wars of faith, defend worlds, hunt down heretics, xenos, and daemons, all without any need of assistance from the Inquisition.

The current Daemonhunters codex is more of "Grey Knights with Inquisition" than "Inquisition with Grey Knights". Just about the only things the GKs lack are Jump infantry and bikers, they have everything else (well, what was available at the time anyways).

Necrons, the Dark Eldar of today's day and age

Though my vote was for Eldar, its time we got our points reshuffled a bit. I'd actually like to take something other than 6 minimum man gaurdian squads for the Wave-serpents

I'd want tau to have a new codex, but I know they're low on the list.

I voted Tau, even though 'Crons need it just as bad. IMO Necrons are good as they are(have yet to beat a necron player, can't get them to phase out and my opponents always have good rolls on bringing them back)
Tau however....just need an overhaul.

I personally would like a new CSM codex. That being said, I'd prefer it if GW just released a PDF version of the current Chaos codex (with updated rules and point costs) and continued to prioritise updates for all 3rd edition codices.

The one I want is Sisters of Battle. It would be nice to have the option to support them with your choice of freaks (Ecclesiarchy, Inquisitors or Arbites), but I want them to be viable as a standalone army, with plastic support and more fluff in the codex about what specificl Sisters or Missions have been up to.

Grey Knights need plastics and a more competitive army list, but I'm not really interested in that.

Chaos Space Marines need a new, more characterful codex, and more options so that you can personalise your leaders. I'd start off with six modules (Undivided CSM, LatD, Khorne, Slaanesh, Tzeentch and Nurgle) and work from there.

While I'd like to see Necrons get fixed, I'm not convinced that a new codex will do so. If it was me I'd add some more high level Necrons that have retained their personalities somewhat, and revert the Gauss-Flayers to the old 2nd edition fluff, where they acted like weaponised teleporters and not vacuum cleaners. My vision of the Necrons is based on the Wraith (from Stargate Atlantis) and the Collectors (from Mass Effect 2): after The Great Screwing where the C'tan tricked the Necrontyr into accepting their bodies of living metal, they were used to aid the C'tan in harvesting life to feed upon. While some Necrons are still fully under the thrall of the C'tan and out doing their work, others are instead collecting sentients and pieces of sentients for their own experiments, to try to create new bodies that would free them from the C'tans' influence.

I said Necrons, but purely for selfish reasons. They sorta need a Dark Eldar style revamp, but so many of their models are fine (Warriors for one).

Maybe a half-way point re-do.

I'd love to see a new Tau or CSM codex, but I rather doubt I'll be seeing the CSM one for a while yet. And, to be fair, what I want to see and what needs to happen are very far from being the same thing.

I want Sisters of Battle to be the next codex. the reason? I dreamt once that I was building plastic Juggernauts, and the next day I saw that they were going to be released soon. Later I dreamt everyone played SoB... If they would be the next update, it would be proof enough for me to consider myself a Warhammer Prophet.

I think Necrons need to be next...what I WANT is a GK/SoB combined codex..which I don't think would be too awful;is there not a lot of overlap??

No. The IST and Assassins are the same, and the Inquisitors themselves are superficially similar, but everything else is completely different.
