Title says it all. I find that the community here on Dakka has REALLY sparked my drive to convert, to whit I thought it would be fun to see what we can all come up with. Here's the deal....

1. May spend up to $25 on parts ordered or purchased from anywhere.
2. Must incorporate at least 50% parts from your bitz box(es).

Thats it! This is far more about creativity than being a profeshnul painter. If folks want to work out a way to vote for a winner thats on ya'll. Lulz.

To clarify a question that was raised, it doesn't matter if its a 40k model or a WFB model that you build...but it does need to be something that you have started work on recently.

Now is that $25USD? and can people use ANYTHING they have lying around the house? Such as I have some pop-sicle sticks and plasticard, which is not in my bitz box. I'm definitely intrigued by this 'contest' though.

Yep, I'd actually encourage using only bitz box stuff but sometimes you GOTTA have that damn head that only comes in 1 kit. Know what I mean?

No size or aesthetic limit other than staying true to the 40k or WFB feel. Doesn't have to be crazy grimdark either...Pretty Marines are cool too! I really want this to be something that everyone can participate in regardless of conversion experience. NO FETHING PONIES UNLESS ITS A DAMN HOBBIT CONVERSION! Thanks. lulz

Roughly 25 bucks USD. And the use of household items is certianly a damn fine thing. I consider the trash can to be my secondary bitz box honestly. Gears and cogs are expensive if you buy em at a mini store.

Lol. Give a thrifter a bunch of bitz, a bit of mental imbalance and creative freedom means that you're gonna see something awesome. I'm already working on a bitz-bash Techmarine.

Also, since technically the 5 AoBR termies costed me exactly 20 bucks, the Chaplain and Librarian I made from them technically also count for this too, although I made them long before this thread was up.

Of course WFB people are invited! Edited the thread to make that apparent. Oh, and here is my entry. Started out as a Dread with a horrible paintjob, then it was a Carnifex/Dread thing with tons of crappy putty on it. Started tearing it down a few days ago and finally got it to a point that I consider workable for my biomechanical CSM army. Will post more pics once I get it painted up.

ok everyone here you go ive actually been working on this longer then 30 mins but i just got it primed and all of this stuff was just lying around in my house... i know what ur thinking thats not fair at all you just had a dread and a war walker and chaos warriors and space wolf bits laying around. my response to that is well yah i play this game way to much and go to a lot of tournys.

ok maybe this isnt fair for me to post. so to make it fair ill post another one that im actually going to do for this contest only when i get done with it in a couple of days.

Fair in my book, I pulled the same cheeseball crap when I realized I had a chopped up dreadnought and half a carnifex kit laying in my box. I really really like your mechanical wolf thing with chainswords for teeth. Chuck Norris would approve.

Is that chain you used for the collar part of the plastic model or did you source a jewlery chain?

Hmm...if all my good bits werent taken(and had some legs left* id join in, but alas I have nothing and no way of getting bits without spending more then I want.

You can find power armor and termie legs CHEAP on ebay.

I don't have a picture and the model isn't painted yet anyway but I really dug the two-handed thunderhammer that came in my death company box, and the Mark IV head. I put them together with the Mechanicus body and shoulder pad from a vehicle sprue to make a black raging techmarine

loving the conversions I've seen so far, amazing work everyone. Not sure if this is good enough or fits the criterea, but this is my kroot master shaper, I'm quite pleased with him considering how new I am to the hobby. He is fully painted now, just couldn't batteries for my camera, and keep forgetting to buy some.
