Thats right folks, who amung you has a 40k tattoo?
Do you have a 40k tattoo? What is it? Why did you get it?
Have you seen someone with a 40k tattoo? What was it? Did they even know what it was?
How do you all feel on the topic? Is having a permenant mark on your body taking the hobby too far?
I see 40k tattoos everywere and more often than not the person has no idea were the icon or symbol came from. I personally love tattoos and think its a beautiful art and form of expression.
Ive seen the 8 pointed star of chaos AT LEAST a dozen times. Ive seen a guy with a huge lude daemonette on his arm (awsome tat btw ), a dude with the flesh tearers symbol on his shoulder, and others I cant call to mind right now.

Member of a Lodge? I Can't Say
|
I don't feel it's taking it too far at all, people get tattoos of the things they love, be it women, cars, art, or 40k. I'd liken it to someone getting a tattoo of one of H.R. Geiger's creations or Star Wars, or any other fictional universe that holds special meaning for the individual. Now this isn't to say that all 40k tattoos are awesome, just like any other tattoo, you're going to see ones that just make you wonder, 'did they actually pay for that?'. If it's done right, then more power to them, Lord knows I'd like to see more chaos runes and Aquilas running around, then it would make fellow hobbyists easy to recognize lol, sort of like Warrior Lodges...
On another note, I've noticed a higher proportion of 40k tattoos amongst military personnel, I don't know if this has anything to do with the more widely accepted view of tattoos in the military or with the fact that our lives are usually grim dark enough that we find a link to ourselves in 40k.
Either way the most badass 40k tattoo i've seen was a simple Aquila , however the awesome-ness came from the fact that said tattoo was on the forearm of a salty old bearded ex-special forces guy that used to work out with us when I was in stationed in Coronado, CA. That was the moment I realized that we as a community...are Legion...

I don't think it is any worse than 90% of what people get. At least it means something to the person, and they usually are cool looking symbols anyway.
I personally would never do it because I'm a bit of a closet nerd. But if others want to wear it on their skin, more power to them.

Though I already sport several tattoos, I don't know if I'd ever get a 40k one. I was tempted for a while to get an Eve Online one when I was hard and heavy into that game, but I decided to get a t-shirt instead. I have never seen a 40k tattoo myself, though there are some pretty sweet designs out there, like the aquila with the writing "My sword is...My shield is...In the Emperor's name let none survive"...you get the point.

On a side note any tatoo specifically relating to warhammer of any kind is a breach of GW I.P. and illegal.

DEAR SHOE,
THAT'S RIGHT YOU ARE A SHOE. THERE'S NOTHING YOU CAN DO ABOUT NOT BEING A SHOE BECAUSE IN MY MIND YOU ARE ONE AND THAT IS MOST UNFORTUNATE.
AS LONG AS I HAVE YOU CONCEPTUALIZED AS A SHOE IN MY IMAGINATION YOU SHALL REMAIN AS SUCH.
THIS MAKES ME WONDER WHETHER ALL PEOPLES AND OBJECTS CAN BE CONCEPTUALIZED AS SHOES AND THUS BECOME SUCH, GRANTING ME ABSOLUTE POWER OVER THEM. DO YOU HAVE A CLEVER ARGUMENT? NO YOU DON'T, YOU"RE A SHOE. SHOES CAN'T HAVE CLEVER ARGUMENTS.
I FEEL LIKE THE WEIGHT OF THE WORLD HAS BEEN LIFTED OFF MY SHOULDERS NOW THAT EVERYTHING IS UNDER MY CONTROL, NOW THAT YOU ARE ALL SHOES. I NO LONGER HAVE TO ANSWER TO MY REGRETS AND PAST MISTAKES BECAUSE THEY ARE SIMPLY SHOES.

I doubt they would do much about it.
a) who's gonna pay for the removal?
b) who's gonna report it- "ooh, that's a registered trademark of GWS inc. 2000..."
c) who's gonna sue a gamer for having a tattoo?

Gw are too uptight about their IP.
about shirts and tats
A) Why don't you sell T-shirts? I'd buy 'em
B) why would you even bother ripping on people with tats?
I think GW would have way more fans if they didnt have a big old stick up their butts. I would love to see a "Warhammer tattoo competition"
and again, what the shpadoinkle is stopping you from making t-shirts?!?!?!

Tattoos are usually seen on toolbags. In order to get 40K/whatever game tattoo, you'd have to be a super duper kameyameya toolbag.

I'm guessing the pussy portion is related to the scarification/tattoo, since the laser hair removal isn't very painful at all.
Unfortunately, this plan will backfire terribly on you, since laser hair removal is not permanent, and the darker pigment of the scar/tattoo will interfere with any follow-up attempts to remove hair. You'll have to wax or shave after that.

I fail to see how tattoos make you a tool bag. Now I understand there are some horrible white trash, poorly done, or just the same tat everyone and there mom has.
But many of the tattoos that the crowd of people I hang out with are pieces of art and personal expression. No tattoos are not the symbol of uniqueness and rebellion they once were as everyone has tattoos, but I still think they are a great art and way to show ur devotion and thing you have passion for in life.
I dont think id ever get a 40k tattoo as I don’t particularly feel that strongly about any philosophy in 40k, but I wouldn’t knock anyone down if they did. Actually think it shows a level of commitment I would never give to this hobby, but good for them.
