My buddy's been on the road for 6 hours and still is not home.
But I got home fine and the missus and I had a snowball fight.
Mrs. Kyoto is ready for the weather.

Glad you guys made it home safely!
On an unrelated note, this snow has been entirely inconvenient. It has caused me to miss two (2) gaming nights in the past month alone!

Will someone tell me how, in the capital of the free world, a MILLION people can be without power, because of SNOW?
I mean seriously, we go through this every year, HOW? WHY? I was in Red China for 2 years and never lost power.
Just happy I still have power but I lost it last time.

Got about 3-4 inches yesterday morning from storm #1. Then last night around 7 it started snowing again. It was supposed to snow all night, so I figured before I went to bed I'd give it a quick shovel to reduce my load today.
I stepped out around 9 to discover I already had 8 inches of snow. That's a rate of 4 inches per hour. The word "Snowpocalypse" came to mind at the time. Ended up with 12 or 13 in that second storm. Crazy stuff.

Yeah. My mom want to keep me out of the high school here, which is one of the really crappy ones in Maryland, apparently. I just really want to go to publice school again.
On topic: last year's snow was awesome. Compared to that, what we got was relatively wimpy.

Absolutely. I was a talkative little bugger in 1st grade. Since then, I've been so shy, I rarely talk to someone on my own initiative.

O.M.G. I can get pregnant?! I didn't think that happened to boys. Joking. I get where you're going with that thought. Unless you thought I was a girl.

We got slammed yesterday.. I had to drive 20 miles to my girlfriend's house to shovel 15" off her driveway... which was more like 4 feet down by the road thanks to the plow mounds :( I just have a puny little home depot $10 snow shovel but it did the trick.
they're calling for more snow next week.. there's nowhere to put all the crap we have now. it's been snowing pretty much twice a week since xmas.
