Going to be a piece of garbage as Activision is a money grubbing company that has no imagination. When they destroyed Infinity Ward they should have shot themselves in the foot when it comes to making a sale to any self respecting gamer.
Don't take this personal OP, I just really hate Activision and those vids mostly look like rehashed content.

I hope this game gets really poor sales regardless how poor the game is.
When Activision goes to hell the devil has made a level of hell tailored to Activion. In this level Activision has to play singleplayer campaing of their games forever.

Every time I hear "in my opinion" or "just my opinion" makes me want to strangle a puppy. People use their opinions as a shield that other poeple can't critisize and that is bs.
If you can't defend or won't defend your opinion then that "opinion" is bs. Stop trying to tip-toe and defend what you believe in.
I like Treyarch more than Infinity Ward, sure Infinity Ward comes out with new ideas but they're usually broken as hell.
MW2 Boosting= Game ending nuke Black Ops Boosting= Game can continue
Can't wait for Battlefield 3 compared to MW3, but then again the lack of thought about the logistics behind an invasion ruined MW2 for me. Seriously, an all out invasion from across the Atlantic ocean. I'm sure that no European country saw them moving the forces across the country. Not that an underwater base off of the coast of America is any better.

It's as if they had several years of hindsight and only managed to screw up every other facet of the multiplayer! MW2 was buggy as hell, but the gameplay in black ops is fundamentally broken and stupid. Why even have sniper weapons when they are useless given the map design and general damage debuff? Permanent directional super radar? Overpowered shotguns (again)? Map design that reduces everything to short range spray and pray battles? An exploding race car that you can't escape from (it can go upstairs)?
It's bad.

Russia is logistically incapable of mounting that kind of attack at all, let alone secretly. It was stupid at a very basic level. The plot in Black Ops was every bit as bad though.

Do you remember that time that thing happened?
This is a bad thread and you should all feel bad
The gameplay in black ops focuses on Assault rifles and SMG's. Those weapons got damage boosts, the sniper rifle was reduced to stop quickscoping which ruined the game for a lot of people.
There is no permanent 'super radar', its an SR-71 Blackbird which flies close to space and cannot be shot down. They use better equipment than a UAV which is why the radar is better. That only lasts for so long though and they eventually go away, how dare you be unable to launch a rocket into space to shoot down something that goes so fast the plane stretches several inches in flight along with the pilot.
Black Ops was supposed to focus on smaller more personal battles as well. The whole campaign led to that point, small groups operating in localized areas to achieve a special objective, its kind of fitting the multiplayer follows(also Havannah is a good sniping map along with Berlin Wall, Cracked, Jungle, and several others). Just like the campaign in MW2 focused on large scale battles and larger scale battlefields.
And as I said before:

I will be buying this, not because i thought MW2 was agood game, it wasn't, but for two reasons:
1. I'm a completionist, I have to finish stories I've started, and admittedly some of the characters are ok
2. The prospect of playing as germans and French is too good to pass up, few games let us play as non-americans, CoD being relativity ground breaking in that regard where the main characters are birtish and the americans are secondary characters
Meh, it's just another "modern" game. We already have dozens of them out. Could use more sci-fi ones, or hell, even a WWII one would stick out compared to the usual modern garbage like the crap coming from the CoD, MoH, and BF series.

CoD 4 was gold, CoD 5 was goodish, MW2 was pretty bad, but good in some aspects. Black Ops was an abomination, only worth buying for zombies. Cod 2 was also so good.
What else can they possibly do with the formula, without potentially ruining what so many people enjoy?
They should at least sell it at a reduced price (not like that will ever happen), as it will only be an additional four hour campaign with the exact same multiplayer content as the rest of the series since COD4.
I hope people realize that they can just keep their copies of MW2 and Black Ops and will basically have the exact same experience as in MW3. Once the series stops selling so well, Activision will stop this nonsense (and other games will stop emulating this same formula).

I was more thinking of Halo Reach being finally mvoed onto the PC.
Hell I'd even upgrade to W7 specifically for it.

There are much better reasons to upgrade to Windows 7 than a single game. It's well worth the investment, as Microsoft is finally starting to rival Mac with their software (without sacrificing the many options that Windows gives you).

Sure, but it costs money, so I'm putting it off anyway.

Hey look, another Call of duty game where all they changed was the guns and the maps, which of course make a really original and unique game with great new game play.
You do realize that MW2 is the sequel to MW and that MW3 is the sequel to MW2 right?
Typically a game will keep the same characters and try to change slightly in order to make sure that it is a sequel to the previous title.
Its like criticizing Star Wars Episode 5 because the only difference from Star Wars Episode 4 was the location, they had the same blasters so Stars Wars Episode 5 and 6 were god awful. I can't really use Episodes 1, 2, and 3 because they actually were terrible.
Also, its a FPS, the only difference between all of the FPS's in the world today are the inclusion of vehicles, story, and weapons.
Hell, even Killzone 3 is similar to Call of Duty, they just added sci-fi to it.
Socom had female skins added to it as well, which is new, but besides that its a lot like the original Rainbow Six games(not Vegas, I mean the stuff from the 90's).
All Left 4 Dead did was add different zombies and maps with different characters.
New Vegas is different seeing as though its not really an FPS.
Also, CoD games are technically released every year, but the developer responsible for each one has two years to release it. Hell, MW3 had a couple of developers working on it.

That is most assuredly not true.

And which FPS would be the truly unique standard?
That would depend on your definition of "truly unique".
All first person shooters involve an action game with a first person viewpoint where you shoot people, usually with guns (although curiously, not always, sometimes it's with magic!). Aside from that, though, there's some rather strong variations. Compare, for example, America's Army's latest build versus that of Team Fortress 2 (a realism-heavy simulation type game versus a very arcadey and indeed even goofy style game). And then there's the games which use FPS style interfaces, but aren't really shooters-- Portal and Penumbra come to mind. The game mechanics differ quite a bit between some of the more unique games in the genre. Granted, FPS is a specific subgenre within the Action genre, but there's still plenty you can do with it.

There's also Breakdown and the Metroid Prime series.

Have you heard of UT?

Finally? Mac is just lol compared to windows.

Realism and melee weapons. L4D2 is an improvement over 1 while cods are just reskins of each other. Usually really bad reskins.

Unreal tournament? Yes. I have its most recent rendition... it's... not so good. The AI for its single player is horrendous, and it's really just a bunch of regular matches linked together to form a non-coherent story.
