Ordered some necron immortals about 3 weeks ago from GW online, because i try to support GW. I waited the maximum 9 day waithing period and it still had not come...so I emailed GW asking about the order. I got this response "Thanks for writing in to us! The reason your two orders have not shipped is because we are currently out of stock of Necron Immortal models in our warehouse. Our next shipment of them will be received on July 29th and your orders will ship out then." (i copy pasted from the email.) I then replied, "can i cancel the order because I will just go to my FLGS and pick them up because i need them sooner than that(i didnt really ). The next day i get two emails saying "Thanks again for shopping with us. The order below has now been shipped. If you your chosen shipping method included tracking, we’ll send you another email containing your tacking number..." I just started laughing when I saw this, GW is so goofy...goofy is the right work right...no, Liars, they said it was out of stock, i tried to take out my order and they ship it. Still, so if this happens to you, do the same thing.

i am a little confused here coolyo, usually i like what you post, but...i was just telling a story that i thought was funny about how GW said it was out of stock and the second i try to take out the order, they ship it and it was "out of stock". little insulted

prob should be in GW discussions, but its just a story, not much to discuss, so i figured it should go here

I agree this thread is incredibly stupid and quite pointless. You're order has shipped because you replied to an Automatic message that is sent when models are out of stock. You received an automatic message after emailing them about the order.

i wrote customer service a message and i got a reply with a dudes name on it, and that wasnt the entire message (the rest had my name and info about me im not going to share in this forum in it). It still may have been automated, but it didnt sound like it from the message. Because in a return message that was sent in conjunction with the order shipped one, i got a personalized message from a custormer service dude in tennessee. Once again, dont like a thread, dont post, pretty simple concept.

You should have Posted the entire message when you created the thread ,it would explain more for those seeking more information.

Thank you, I do believe they may have used a simple template and may have ignored you're message,the Immortals probably just came into stock earlier than they had expected or presumed.

Why all the hatred here? It's just a little story about dajobe's experience with GW customer services. Making weird accusations about responding to automated emails seems... well, weird.

Anyway, nice story dajobe. Sounds like a case of one hand not knowing what the other is doing at GW gustomer services. D'you reckon they've sent you two deliveries? Might be a little result here. Oh, and working in a customer services job myself, you'd be surprised how often orders come in just after customers chase them up. Always awkward, because it makes you look like a liar.

very possible, but a month early is pretty early. i just thought the situation was goofy.

While I'll admit GW's shenanigans are strange I wouldn't say It's that funny but still quite strange.

I smiled when I read this. To be fair to GW Customer Service, they have a reputation for being excellent, so I reckon it's probably either an honest mistake or they've had an early appearance of some stock. Still funny though!

I'm not sure why some people are getting all crazy here. Guy had an experience and told us about it. What probably happened is that they didn't have them in the computer, but after you complained somebody personally looked and found some in the shop. At $14 a piece I would expect that kind of service.

this happened to me i cant remember the dates but without looking i know it was some time in janurary i just treated my self to 24 kins, full command squad and a several snipers for my special weapons unit , i waited a week, didnt arrive so i sent them an e-mail, they said they were currently out of stock and due in about a fornight, i got them the next day o.o

No, you are definitely correct, this was an isolated incident for me, i order online...alot. I will continue to order online from GW because I try to support them, i just thought this story was funny.

Customer Service has never been one of thier problems.

It is just all the other stuff... and then trying to put a smiley face on it while your getting fitted with the ball gag and hand cuffs.

I had a similar experience a few months ago. I ordered a SOB Immolator/some other bits at 9am on a tuesday for use on the following sunday (they have a free sameday dispatch if you order before 1pm)

sooo... I wait until wednesday nada...I send an email politely asking, again nada. I phone up on thursday and get flanneled with random excuses etc, so I ask to cancel. I get told they will get back to me.

I THEN get the out of stock excuse/cancellation will take 7 days? rigghhhtt, so I write a complaint email and magically the items are in stock and sent out next day delivery, arriving on the saturday.

I think GW Customer services just try their luck sometimes to see if it will get people to just accept things!

lol, yeah, i got some harsh responses initially in this thread, this didnt really hurt my opinion of GW, i just thought it was hilarious

I would just like to point out that you could have bought their products from anywhere you wanted to and you would have still supported them. As long as you don't buy your stuff second hand you support games workshop.
