With all the rumors going around, and my own personal interest in Chaos, I decided to start this thread. Anything you'd like to see for the forces of Chaos in 40K, post it here. I mean anything. Rules, sculpts Codex suggestions... Post it all here.

Personally,I'd like to see figures that more closely resembled the artwork in the Codices. Let me know what you want.

Win, I think the thread is suppose to be 6th edition. If that's the case...

They really need the legion specific rules back! Or do something like they did with the SM and make some special rule when taking an HQ

Iron Warriors deserve their own codex with Basilisks, Cultists, Siege Engines, and Dreadsmiths.

If iron warriors get there own codex then its just wrong not to give the other factions a codex, see the problem? warbnand specific rules yes, new codex... unless GW is going to go all out and give all the warbands a new codex i cant see it happening

But Iron Warriors are so much cooler then everyone else...

Blood Angels got their own codex but White Scars didn't. Just because one gets it doesn't mean the others automatically should.

Personally I would like to see Legion specific Elites, like Thousand Sons Librarian Dreadnoughts or Emperors Children Termies.

Plus a proper Renegade Guard codex like in the Witchhunter dex.

Huzzah! My army is now complete!

My wishlist:
- Cultists/Traitor Guard! :3 As line troops, or as many as you want
- More daemon engines: Nurgle Blight Drones, Khorne Blood Slaughterers, as Fast Attack choices (as they are)
- Chaos marks avaliable for vehicles
- More dangerous possesed marines
- New figure for Chaos Dreadnoughts

Here's another of mine... Better options for the non-special character HQs. A Daemon prince can only count as having a SINGLE ccw? Maybe bring back some of the Chaos armory and Daemonic Gifts from the last edition Codex.

I definitely think that Chaos should get the Dreadclaw.
Tweak the Chaos Dreadnought so that crazed is less prone to kill you.
Rework the Marks, Models with the respective mark will have:

-Mark of Khorne: +1 Attack and Furious Charge, No Sorcery, Rending
-Mark of Slaanesh: +1 Initiative and Combat Drugs
-Mark of Nurgle: +1 Toughness and Feel No Pain, -1 Initiative
-Mark of Tzeentch: 5++ or +1 to Invulnerable Save, Reroll one hit or wound per turn

Make CSM more expensive but stronger (statwise) as well.
Cult Troops are Elites unless your HQ has their shared Mark.
Have Legion HQ's confer army bonuses ala Space Marine style
Some form of cultists/heretics.
More Variety in Daemon Engines.
God bonuses for vehicles, such as:

-Nurgle vehicles get +1 AV and a 5++ Saving Throe
-Slaanesh Vehicles get +1 Init, Access to Sonic Weaponry, and Offensive Grenades
-Khorne Vehicles get (Jesus this is going to be bad) Chaos Blood Talons and Furious Charge
-Tzeentch Vehicles get the Venerable Rule, Access to Warp Weapons, Dreadnoughts can be Psykers

Blight Drones
Stronger BUT more Expensive Daemon Princes to make Sorcs and Lords more viable

I think the army needs to be more powerful and more elites, rather than just spikey marines that end up being less effective than their counterparts. Chaos Space Marines with the Mark of Khorne should be bloodthirsty killers and have the rules to back that up, not just a squad with an additional attack that loses the bonuses if one guys dies.
Lesser and Greater Daemons should atleast be able to be marked, I can understand if GW wants to keep daemons separate from CSM. Throw us a bone here.



Maybe I want too much, but me seeing all these nice new codices coming out makes me want good things too, not just Dual Lash, 9 Obliterators, and the rest filled with mech Plague Marines.

The Dakka Gang may or may not have had something to do with it being so widespread, despite Kan's objections to all memes in general i might add.

It's a shame DOOMBREAD didn't catch on as well. There's only room for one all capitalized meme in the forum it seems.

DOOMBREAD caught on just fine... you may have needed to see certain threads however...
The CRASSUS ARMOURED ASSAULT TRANSPORT is the only thing capable of carrying DOOMBREAD otherwise a DOOMPICNIC may occur and we do not want that...

A DOOMPICNIC? Oh god, spare us the destruction. I bet when DOOMBREAD lead his BAKE CRUSADE it was a DOOMPICNIC.

Looks amphibious... kinda like an enclosed WW2 beach lander with tracks... However, since it's an IG super heavy, I dought we'd see it in the next Chaos book... although the Iron Warriors were allowed a Basilisk under the old rules...

Clearly it would not. But that doesn't mean i wouldn't want one to be in a Chaos codex because then i could pack it full of 14 Terminators with lightning claws with the mark of khorne and then Kharn himself...

There should be a mechanisim for rewarding the faithful who follow a single god.

if you only have Marks of a Single god you get a bonus from that god as you are focusing on him/she/it, but this comes at a cost.



there are 5 alignments a unit can have in a Chaos Army.

Khorne, Slannesh, Tzeench, Nurgle, and Unaligned.


Blessing of the Blood God: Your army has been blessed with the vigor of Khorne, his rage and strength flows through your warriors bodies.

You gain this blessing if you have 4 or more units with the MoK. All units that have the Mark of Khorne and are Unaligned gain +1A. But if your army also contains 4 or more units with the MoS, you must have 6 units with the MoK to gain this benifit.


Tzeentch's boon: the Changer of Ways has blessed your warriors to take part in his grand scheme, atheric energies swirl around them, protecting them from harm.

You gain this blessing if you have 4 or more units with the MoT. All units with the MoT and that are Unaligned gain +1 to their invuln saves, or a 6+ invuln if they do not already have one, this does stack with the Mark of Tzeench's bonus. But if your army contains 4 or more units with the Mark of Nurgle, you are must have 6 or more units with the Mark of Tzeentch to gain the bonus. Vehicles do gain the bonus from this blessing.


Slannesh's dark gift: Slannesh has gifted your warriors with his touch.

You gain this blessing if you have 4 or more units with the MoS. All units with the MoS and that are Unaligned gain +1I, this stacks with the MoS. But if your army contains 4 or more units with the MoK, you must have 6 or more units with the MoS to gain this bonus.


Nurgle's Great Pox: Nurgle has blessed your warriors with his most virilient plague, the Great Pox.

You gain this blessing if you have 4 or more units with the MoN. All units with the MoN and that are unaligned gain the Great Pox special rule. But if your army contains 4 or more units with the MoT you must have 6 or more units with the MoN to gain this bonus.

Great Pox: the warriors bodies are the carriers of the Great Pox. their CC attacks gain the Poisoned(4+) special rule.

I'm just hoping for 1. cultists and mutants and 2. Chaotic attributes.

THat would make it fun, and that's all I need.
