I noticed a massive wave of vs threads  but I'm curious people, what is your favorite war machine in the 40k universe? it can be from any race, any faction- just which and why?
My personal favorite is the Ironclad Dreadnought, simply because it's a high armored siege variant capable of handling almost all basic battlefield threats especially with support.

Land Raider Marauder. Love it, I believe it has a transport capacity, which means I could put a squad of rock hard Word Bearers Anointed in it.

A Shadowsword, hand's down... I just love the oversized assault gun look. It's the only superheavy I'm still considering buying just because it looks so nifty.

No, in all seriousness nothing compares to the Soul Grinder. I own three and love them to death. I just wish they were as good as daemon princes...but in this melta-heavy environment, they've taken a back seat on my shelf and just sit around looking pretty (especially the Nurgle one  ).

I'm contemplating getting a Contemptor Dreadnought, just because it's so awesome looking.
When 6th Edition comes, and I stop playing 40k, I will keep every Dreadnought I own. That's 3 now - AoBR Dread, Ironclad, and a Regular Dread - and a Venerable (Chinese made, don't ask  ) and a Contemptor.
