http://www.thedailymash.co.uk/news/society/looters-return-stuff-to-games-workshop-201108124191/

SCORES of disappointed rioters queued up this morning to return goods they had mistakenly looted from Games Workshop.

The crestfallen thieves had raided the store hoping for a PS3 or Nintendo bounty but arrived home to find they had stolen a box containing 300 unpainted Orcs and a board game called Beyond the Ultraforest of Kwang.

This is so great. This shows how stupid the rioters were that they didn't think to look at what they were looting or to check how much it was worth once they had taken it and were home.

I play:

Tyranids - 1500 pts

GENERATION 9: The first time you see this, copy and paste it into your sig and add 1 to the number after generation. Consider it a social experiment.

Just to make this clear for everyone. The Daily Mash is not real news it's satire. It's like The Onion, but for the Brits.

I think it spoke volumes that one report mentioned the fact Waterstones was the one shop in the highstreet of a particular town that had remained untouched during the chaos and looting that took place in that period of time.

Guys. Guys. It's a spoof newspaper. The looters in question don't exist. This didn't happen.

It's a joke, and I loved it. Tres droll.

The funny thing would be to tell them after the fact that they actually had over 1000 in merchandise they could have sold and bought several ps3, and wiis. ^_^ GW doesnt register everybox so couldnt track it. They would have been caught with the electronics eventually.

Funny, but they didn't have to make up the goofy sounding fantasy names.

GW makes so many rediculously named things that with 30 seconds of google-fu they could have made a considerably funnier and more cutting commentary.

Still a nice chuckle though.

Huh, that was interesting. Not sure why so many of the comments are so ragey about him getting his facts wrong. I didn't notice anything wrong in the article. I think a lot of them might have just gotten bent out of shape about being calleds nerds. Poor dears.

Not as big as the Onion is in the US. Or possibly in the UK for that matter. It's gaining in popularity though.

Substitute the following:

Beyond the Ultraforest of Kwang -> The Island of Blood
The Runering of Fangor -> The chronicles of Malus Darkblade
cloud wizard -> Space Emperor
