Space Marine themed Orks. They have been showing up more and more lately. Like that rash you got last summer in camp you never told you parents about.

I can't say that I am immune to the SMOrk bug. I've been working on my 'Da Brazen Klawz for about 6 months now. And I am no where near the first to make a SMOrk army.

One of the more popular and maybe the most popular in my opinion. are Araksi's 'Da Dark Angels. He has done some wonderful conversions with this army.

There are many more out there and many more in the works. I know of a few Dakkanauts who are planning to do a SMOrk army.

Matt.K came up with the suggestion that someone should start a SMOrk showcase thread.

So if you have or if your planning to start a SMOrk army and your want to show off your work or the latest great idea you may have come up with for a SMOrk themed army that you want to share with everone here is the place.

And if you see any work or ideas that I have done or said feel free to use them. I didn't come up with everything in my army on my own. I have had a lot of help from many people on this site.

I will have a master list of all who post their SMOrk armies or ideas for SMork armies in this post of the thread just to see how the concept is catching on.

I think that warboss needs...wait for it...MOAR DAKKA!! They look very cool and I love the pirhana plant next to dread-ead

"The uniforms of the Imperial guard are camouflaged in order to protect their wearers by hiding them from sight. the principle is that what the enemy cannot see, he cannot kill. This is not the way of the Adeptus Astartes. A Space Marine's armour is bright with heraldry that proclaims his devotion to his Chapter and the beloved Emperor of Mankind. Our principle is that what the enemy can see, he will soon learn to fear." -The codex Astartes

You can never have enough dakka. Maybe he could use a shoulder mounted rokkit launcher.

Thats one reason l love the orks. Just about anything works.

I had an idea a bit ago, and I'm still working on my first unit. So far all I really have is a half-assembled Ork Boy, some sketches and a few paragraphs of fan fluff, which I'm not sure people would actually want to read in a show-off thread.

HA! 'Da Orktramareenz! I love it never even thought about using them as a SMOrk army but you converted the name over nicely.
Well done sir. But show off what ever you want to in this thread. Your sketches, fluff anything. If anything maybe we can help you with anything you may be stuck on are some areas that may need some fine tuning. But personaly I would love to read your fan fluff on your army.

Thanks everyone for stoping by. Once we get this baby rolling I think its gonna be alot of fun.

I think I must of been hit on the head at some point but i've not actually heard of SMOrks before! . . . Please don't hate me!

How's it work rules wise?

Do you use a Marine codex? So its essentially a counts as army?

Need more 's in my life!

There are a few differaint ways to play them.

Myself and most others I've talked to play them as standard oks from thr blood axe clan that have adopted

more of SM tatics than IG. So instead of como paterns they use SM color scheme from what ever chapter they

may have faught aginst the most.

And you could use the standard SM codex. Kinda like the Grot armies using the IG codex.

I mainly started mine just so they wouldnt look like your run of the mill orks. Whated to add some more character

to my army and my conversion skills where not that great when I started. But reading others threads I learnd a lot of

tricks and technics to inprove my conversion ability.

That was pretty awesome. I'm not sure about having them in all term armor but bits and pieces of it might be cool.

puma713 wrote:Is that Dread a Bom-omb?

Why yes it is. I was a candy container that I got some where and it was about the size of a dread and I thought it would be cool to convert.

Frawg made one also. We had a friendly compitition on them.

What you can do is just paint the cloth part the color of the SM colors you want to use. kinda Like this guy.

You can always use SM shoulder pads or the ones that come with the ork models. Heck or what ever bit you can find in your bits box or around the house that might work for a shoulder pad.
