Thats been out for awhile....

I would have been excited if they had provided some meeningful benchmarks and not delayed the release of the chip for so long.

Guess we don't have very many computer literate people here?

Catypelius, I agree, I'm saddened that we have no real benchmarks still. But I have been waiting to build a new machine for far too long, and the time is almost here

If by computer literate you mean able to operate a computer, then yes.

If you mean caring about anything other than whether it works, then no.

Indeed. Thats what underlings and tech support are for.

I am quite computer literate, thank you very much. Every day, I anoint my computer with sacred unguents and recite the appropriate canticles to appease its machine spirit. So far, it's been operating nearly perfectly.

If its the work computer, I just punch it into submission or threaten to drop even more coffee into its keyboard.

If its the home computer, Rodney the Rocket takes over. 18lb (yes turning into a fatty fatty) of wiener dog fury trying to help me type on the keyboard insures compliance. I just have to watch he doesn't lunge for whatever food is on the table, the little . On the positive TBone has gotten stuck in the cord from the keyboard and has ended up with his skinny old dog butt dangling in the air with a very embarrassed look on his face. This has occurred more than once.

I stopped caring about new processors when processor speed stopped mattering for 99.9% of what I do on a computer.

Sometime in the mid-2000's I suppose.

Holy crap, the lowest level Bulldozer is only $175?

0.o

I really wanna see some benchmarks relatively soon considering how much Bulldozer is suppose to shake up the market.

Oh, good, the chance to add even more cores to my processor die that won't be utilized with anything approaching efficiency.

Did you have to do it bit by bit?

Did you byte off more than you can chew with that one?

Oh nos! Yet another entry in a string of pun threads.

I just built my sister a PC after getting tired of waiting for bulldozer. Went with a G620 (she wasn't paying). Since my house is exclusively an intel shop, this concludes all interest in AMD products until the next time I need to build a cheap PC for someone who isn't paying for it, which will likely be my sister again in 5 or so years.
