We have a MLP one and somewhat of a Hello Kitty one, but why no Spongebob thread Dakka?
I'm sure there is at least a couple out there that enjoy watching his insanity.

My little brother, now 14 was obsessed with Spongebob. He has about 6/7 series on DVD, not sure why because he must have watched every single episode on Nikelodeon about 10 times, literally every time he got a turn on the TV, he was watching Spongebob or playing Mario, nothing else. And Spongebob used to ALWAYS be on, its probably still on quite a lot, but a couple of years a go, I don't think you could find an hour during the day in which it wasn't on.

Its maybe funny the first time you watch most episodes, but its not something thats really going to be funny a second time, and a lot of the 'funny' parts are repeated in different episodes anyway

Its still on and there are new episodes coming out now and then. My kid watches an episode or two almost everyday (when us grownups are in the other room getting really depressed watching the news) and I get a chuckle out of certain episodes.

Yea they still make episodes, though how Im not sure, new material MUST be running low. Its still pretty funny, watch it with the kids sometimes, and its one of the few cartoons I can stomach to watch anymore. I find it odd however, that if you dont actually watch the show, why would you start a thread about it? Peer pressure making you second guess your like of a tv show? This is the internet, grow a backbone

I do watch it, I just haven't seen it for a while. I don't really watch TV all that much, but if it's on I watch it.

It's on at either 3pm here and, sometimes on the weekends, marathons from something like midnight to 5am. Not always the best times to watch it.

God, here in America, it should have its own channel and just play 24hrs a day. Might as well, its only a couple different channels for half the day anyways

I watch Spongebob every morning before work, while I eat Cocoa Puffs, Fruity Pebbles, or Lucky Charms

My son adores it. One of the first things he learned to say was 'Oooooooo' and he used it to ask to watch the show. It really helps while we're giving him breathing treatments. And certain episodes are spectacular.

i watch it regularly, becasue, umm, my kids want to...

Favorite episode is the one about the list of swear words that Krabs doesn't want Patrick and Spongebob to say, yet they do about 100 times. Classic.

I used to watch it, but only having freeview after the house move has meant it isn't around to distract me anymore.

That said, the newer stuff is all recycled garbage, and not funny in the least.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Is it OK if you only eat the marshmallows in lucky charms and leave the rest of the cereal for everyone else? Also I love Sponge Bob but I don't watch much TV so I don't see him much on the Tele.

I'm sorry but I dislike it, his laugh hurts my ears.

A good cartoon would be Wacky Races and Catch the Pigeon. Also all the Looney tunes. Classics.

Damn, those are good ones.

Just the old Looney Tunes though, the kind of newer ones are pretty meh.

Yes that one is hilarious. I think its all the dolphin squeaks that does it

Phineas and Ferb is pretty good.

"That's not ironic Perry the Platypus, that's cliche.", had me laughing while saying "Wow, these kids don't get how funny that was.". Then went on a discussion about writing elements with said kids, which is one of the reasons why their parents like me to babysit them, I teach them things.

Good...at least I'm not the only one who watches this and doesn't know why...thought something was wrong with me for a second...

Regular show is a weird case...the characters remind me somewhat of the antics me and my friends used to get into...imaginary and not so much...but at the same time I have to look at it and wonder, much like with Invader Zim, which was one of the best cartoons of the 90's BTW, what the hell the writers were smoking when they created it...

I could never get into this show.

Invader Zim, on the other hand, is pure genius.

Might as well have called it the GIR show...

Everyone knows he's the character that the show is famous for...
