There was a thread here about 2 weeks ago about how many points you can fit into the FOC. This time, however, it's your model count.

Well, Nids can go a bit higher. A Tervigon can spawn a maximum of 15 (6+5+4) gaunts every turn without running out. Over the course of 5 turns, that's 75 models per Tervigon, plus more if the game goes on longer. Granted that sort of luck will never ever happen, but it's worth considering. IG can still put more bodies on the table, but it's something to account for.

Incorrect, Daemons do not fill FoC slots and thus cannot be counted in how many models you can fit in an FoC

Total: 928 models, not counting non-FoC filling units like Techpriests. 878 infantry, 50 tanks. Prertre included 1 too many Infantry squads in his analysis.

Your calculations are slightly off - assuming the Heavy Support is just standard Leman Russ Battle Tanks, the total comes in at 9670.
However, that doesn't factor in the 38 extra Chimeras for the Infantry Platoon and the Company Command Squads.
They bring our total up to a nice, round 11760 :p
I'm tempted to see how much it costs in terms of money xD

If you want to just max out the points in a single IG FoC, I believe it comes out to roughly 26,000 points.

Start giving those Chimeras and tanks Stubbers, dozer blades, camo netting, extra armor, hk missiles, etc and giving the infantry squads lascannons, plasma guns, voxes, krak grenades, powerweapons, sergeant bolt pistols and meltabombs, etc and those costs explode.

Hell, a Chimera costs 55pts and can take up to 70pts of upgrades

730pts of Platoon can manage 790-odd points of upgrades too, haha xD
