ok orks bring on the gretchins.

replace tyranid primes with hive tyrants and 3 guards each and you get more models. Also, as for elites, have some ymral stealers instead of pyrovores.

Just over 200 + a max of 105/Tervigon (15 with no doubles over 7 turns) + however many spore mines the biovores can make in 7 turns.

Still doesn't get anywhere near the 1k range.

don't forget with guard, in the CCS you can take all the regimental advisors and 2 body guards. thats 10 units. You can take 2 CCSs so thats 20 models right there.

also, don't forget priests, they don't take up a slot and you get 5 of them.

The big problem with doing this with Nilla Marines is the 10 man limit on squads. Like I posted earlier, you can take Calgar and his 3 honourguard units and a CM with HG but thats about the max.... 211 in the foc, including transports and all.
