In the game League of Legends what role do you play the most? I play tanks (Galio, Rammus, Alistar and Cho'Gath) and fighters (Warwick, DPS Sion, Gangplank and Udyr) the most, the only DPS I play

is Pantheon.

I used to consider that a bonus when I played.

I don't know why but I found this statement hilarious...probably because of the idiots I'm used to playing with...

I play tank and fighter mostly, with my step brother being a caster...we make a good team...

My main two are Cho' gath and Warwick...although I take Rammus from time to time...

Ryze here.

I try everyone from time to time, but I always find myself going back to Ryze. Used to play Morde, but they hit him too hard with the various Nerfs, however justified some of them were.

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.

I usually play as Fighter types. I like to have relatively large amount of HP but I'd like to hit hard too. Sometimes, rarely, I'll play specifically tanks. I'm not all that great at tanking though.

I'd vote but apparently support isn't a role here...

I also roll Support, maining Taric but also owning and being able to use all the other supports.

when I HAVE to go another role I use Xin Zhao as a Fighter/assassin thingy, Veigar or Swain for AP, Miss Fortune for Melee DPS and Amumu or Cho'Gath for Tank

I've recently begun jungling with Shaco, and I'm really enjoying it. It also works really well with the people I usually play with. Shaco may suck, but I don't do too badly when I focus more on supporting my teammates with ganks over simple snowballing.

I didn't include things like junglers, supports and assassins because a lot of those categories fall into other roles as well like Soraka is a mage support, Alistar is a tank support, Nocturne is a DPS assassin, etc.

Yes, but jungling and support are both very major roles in LoL.

Really, it should be

Tank
Support
Jungler
AD carry
AP carry
Tanky DPS
Assassin

Support is it's own role though, so is the jungler. They're unique in play style to the others.

Support for example is supposed to focus on saving the team mates rather than actually killing the champions. Helping out with slows etc. Yet killing no creeps (the carry they're laned with gets them all) and relying off securing kills and gold generating masteries and items to build their item set.

The jungler isn't as simple as just running into the neutral mobs and killing them. They have routes in which they know the exp they get from each camp (for example wolf camp and smiting the enemy's purple wraith gets them a lvl 2 gank in at under the 3 minute mark on the top lane if blue or the bottom lane if purple. The mini-golem camp does the same for the opposite lane, though they'll be slightly lower and not have that slight counter jungle advantage), how long till it respawns and by looking at the map positions where the best gank would be possible (not which pug is yelling the loudest for a gank).

Assassins are basically the same as the DPS, though they focus more on the escaping low health enemies, I'd agree they can just be classed as the others.

I play whatever my team needs, so I get around role-wise.

I think that should have been an option.

There are some who walk until their legs fail them and they fall to the ground. I find that respectable.
Then there are those who drag themselves further. I find that admirable.

I'd say the role of the assassin is to isolate and neutralize the enemy carry(ies), which is fairly important and different than simple DPS.

I view support as the economy player. You must get by with gp5 runes, talents and items while supplying wards and developing some sort of helpful items. What the actual character does is generally much less important. My main support is Leona, with Morgana a strong second. I enjoy Sona as well, but find that the enemy knows what a support Sona is capable of too much for it to often make a difference.

Tank support, with tons of disables, leads to very fat bottom lane carries. By the time teamfights roll around, you're usually able to handle initiation and crowd control if you don't try to stay in their lines the whole fight.

I have yet to buy any gp5 runes, I didn't see the use of them over the health quints. Is it really worth it? I seem to do fine with just the mastery gold, assists and an early philosopher stone with Janna and Sona. But then again Sona has the speed buff so if positioned right doesn't need to really speed through items, and Janna being Janna means she's a real pain to kill if they're doing it right.

Get a stun on a support and they're dead like normal though. The trick in my opinion is to just be away from the stun and to keep them back.

Plus they have a stealth or teleportation mechanics to help them jump the squishies.

the problem I have is when people insta-lock the characters that I enjoy playing with most. It's so annoying when someone picks your favorite champ and then goes and does a horrible job with them and feeds hard

I honestly don't mind that; especially when it's a new champion (Fizz, for instance).

What I really hate, though, is Instalock Akali/Shaco/Caitlyn/Teemo and then say "HEY NOOBS, WE NEED A TANK!"

I've never feared Death or Dying. I've only feared never Trying.
