Hello I've just been to my local games workshop and the store manager told me that gw might be finishing the primarchs story with a new campaign this summer. One of the other blokes at the store said that's impossible as the primarchs are all dead.
This is not true. Here I will explain how each 'dead' primarch met their fate (loyalists mainly)
Lion el Johnson: wounded and falls into a coma after dual with luther
Sanguinius: Mortaly wounded by Horus and placed in stasis.
Leman Russ: embarks on crusade into the eye of terror.
Corax: goes into self exile
Gulliman: wounded and placed in stasis.
Vulkan: goes on crusade around the galaxy.leaves relics behind for the salamanders.
Rogal dorn: uncomfirmed
Ferrus manus: butchered by fulgrim.
Gengis khan: disappeared.

As you can see other than ferrus mannus none of the loyalist primarchs have been confirmed as dead. From what my local store manager said it can be said that the daemon primarchs have allied with each other to destroy the imperium in a 14th black crusade. Lion el Johnson is awakened first as prophesised by Luther and one by one the loyalist primarch will awaken or Re emerge. Leman Russ will be next emerging with what remains of the thirteenth company. The primarchs in stasis will miraculously heal and be reawakened. The salamanders will find the final artefact in the tome of fire and to their surprise Vulkan will return to them. The stage will be set for the 25th anniversary of 40k and also mega SPOILER the primarchs will not be killed off at the end. Meaning we might get Minitures for the loyalist and daemon primarchs.

Thanks for reading and please tell me who you would like a miniture for.

Sounds awful wishlisty to me... I'm all about it and think that the eternal night of 40999 lacks story development in terms of major events - everything is either an expansion of the now or re/definition of the past. Furthering the story presents more opportunity for expansion.

Will GW do it? I'm not so sure. They're more likely to feth it up than make it cool, IMO.

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I'm sorry, but I'm going to call bull on this, I can't see GW ever doing this, they wouldn't break the game just to celebrate the 25th anniversary. I know they brought out rules for Angron once, but he was grossly under-powered. I'm all for a 14th Black Crusade campaign, if it's as good as the Fall of Medusa V (Hopefully including some models of the quality that came out then too), but I don't think they will do it, I've resigned myself to the fact that we're frozen at the end of M.41, so should you all too, at least for now, we have most of the 41st millennium to explore, a whole millennium to have campaigns set it.

Also, Sanguinius is dead, not in stasis. Horus killed him, he's dead, the Blood Angels have horrific visions of his death.

Sounds like wishful thinking to me. Also, bringing Sanguinius back to life would wholly cheapen the tragic ending of the Heresy.

If Games Workshop plan something special for next year's anniversary, I would at least expect it to refer to something from Rogue Trader - not the Primarchs, who weren't dreamed up until a few years later.

All dead and incased in amber so his skeleton is preserved. All except his hands which have been scrimshawed by successive Chapter masters of the Imperial Fists.

Hate to say it but ' There dead Jim ALL of them.' This sounds like a store managers wish list, or he is having a go at you ( ie fooling around with you).

I could POSSIBLY see FW doing the primarch models as there are various 'not primarch' models kicking around and GW is as usual late to it's own ball game. Maybe Apoc rules like angron but not likely like 99.999% not likely. They seem to be stuck in the cycle of ' Everything is happening in 901-999M41' so I would take what the manager said with a huge grain of salt...hell a whole salt mine.

TL;DR- not fething likely but it would be nice to be suprised. ( as long as they where not in 'finecast' ugh FW all the way baby for primarch models)

Dorn's dead, boarding a space hulk and killed, so is Sanguinius, Horus stomped him, Ferrus, head Chopped off

Any other loyalist besides these three are still "alive" in the sense the aren't dead

All your other points are plausible

Fairly sure Dorn copped it soloing a chaos battleship.

I really hope not... IMHO It's very unlikely GW will do this, and it would be a cartoony idea that would ruin 40k for me if they did. The 13th Black Crusade hasn't been concluded anyway. A better idea would be a Heresy era campaign.

As I said before "He's dead Jim!" Alas pour Sanginius maybe his chapter colour shouldn't of been red after all......

I thought they only found Dorn's hands at one point unless it's changed.

As for rowboat, he'd die as soon as he left stasis. I think the Lion is meant to be sleeping somewhere on the rock and may be one of the only few loyalist primarchs left that would probably be able to be more than a vegetable.

Sanguinius is dead. Horus cast his maimed corpse to the ground in front of the Emperor.

Rogal Dorn is dead and handless.

Guilliman is just about dead, and he's full of poison.

It's unlikely that GW will advance the plot, and as things are Guilliman would just come back as the next Emperor and all the Space Marines would drop to their knees worshipping his supreme Ultramarineness.

The only confirmed living loyalist primarch. The Lion sleep in the Rock. Hew is not in a coma per se, but in a deep slumber. His sleep is not medical but intentional. He will be wakened by the Watchers at the appointed time. Hinted at being when the Chapter is forgiven.

Thesanguinesword wrote:
Sanguinius: Mortaly wounded by Horus and placed in stasis.

If Sanguinius is in stasis it is only to preverse his relics. This primarch is very dead, the Black Thirst is caused by physhically experiencing the death of Sanguinius, and the Emperor himself witnessed the primarches demise. This one is gone.

Thesanguinesword wrote:
Leman Russ: embarks on crusade into the eye of terror.

And is thus likely to return asif only a short passage of time has passed. His return is probably, but unlike Lion El Jonson, not guaranteed.

Hype says the wounds are slowly healing. Ultramarine hype from Ultramar, this means nothing. He can still.

Confirmed kills. Rogal Dorn ate a melta gun shot while taking the bridge of a chaos cruiser. A melta gun hit can really ruin your day, even if you are a primarch.

Maybe command squads can wheel around caskets with a primarchs dead body in it like chapter banner. Just knowing their dead primarch is with them it inspires the whole army and everyone gets initiative 10 regardless of weapon type in close combat and an extra attack.
