The Squats never existed!

Which is GW's whole take on them now.

So, any Primarch that was killed is suddenly wounded and put into stasis. If thats how you want to play it, then go for it.

Could be an interesting plot advancement, and with how things are shaping up for the Imperium, possibly the only thing that could keep the IoM alive.

I find it very unlikely they would continue the story, at least any time soon.

Although I wish they would continue, I think they rely heaps too much on the horus heresy as backbone in the 40k universe, as well as the mystery behind the current primarch situation.
And so moving on and continuing the plot, taking the spotlight off the biggest event in the universe would be extremely risky as far as games workshop is concerned.

To do so they would also need to come up with hundreds or thousands of years of eventful/detailed stories to present them with (since it seems gw doesn't work in present tense).

Just my opinion.

Somewhere in the Galactic East

Its unlikely the story would progress.

I think that a campaign will crop up, however, something that's fluff driven but wouldn't advance the story. I wouldn't put it past GW to create another Great Imperial General (Like Solar Macharius, maybe Ursakar Creed?) and launch another Great Crusade into the Galactic East.

Or perhaps a playable Mechanicus Codex Suppliment like the Eye of Terror was...

Let's not forget Trazyn the Infinite might just have a primarch of his own. I'm betting it's Vulkan since no one knows where he went when he disappeared and Trazyn has been awake since the Heresy.

In the belly of the whale.

This thread implies GW will move the story onwards, and is therefore heresy.

On topic, the Primarchs are said to return for the "End Time". In the Eldar tongue, this is the Rhana Dhandra (sp?). Where the galaxy is wiped clean and left to start again.

This means, that no matter who "wins" everyone pretty much dies. This will vastly decrease model sales.

GW will not allow it.

Didn't they just find his hand? Maybe he's chilling somewhere with a new hand.

They found all of him. All of him was dead...

That story is no longer considered canon. According to the new story all that was found was a skeletal hand and his gear if I remember correctly.

While I would really love for a conclusion to the Primarch story, it will not happen.

GW rarely advances the Warhammer 40k plot that much, definitly not THAT MUCH!
