Thought i would post up some of my pet store finds.
As im sure some of you know pet stores can be a great place to find decent terrain at a very reasonable price.
Here's some of my finds to date.

Great arcane fulcrum, more of a jungle feel ,but i dont have a jungle board

I don't think i paid more than 10$ for any of these. With my less than average paint jobs and some serious dry brushing they can look very good.
I have a few more just got get some pics taken, i'll update when i get them uploaded.
C&Q welcome

Did the hill the green head is sitting on come with it, or is it just resting on some of your other terrain?

That's a GW hill it's just resting on.

Don't forget these awesome deals at the pet store:

Really good basing material for a really cheap price. Like 10 pounds for $12.00.

Darn, all I could find here in pet shops are ruined castles that are in the wrong scale. Or ugly-looking plastic mermaids. Or statues of happy pissing children.

I am in the process of collecting aquarium decorations to use as terrain myself. What pet store(s) did you find these in? Big chain stores like Petco and Petsmart or something else?

The pharaoh is from wal-mart and the others are from the usual chain stores.
The greenish guy at the top was from a chain as well not sure what it was called. might be a smaller chain regional only or some thing.
I pretty much stop when ever i find a new store just to see what they might have.
Lord Scythican thanks for that suggestion about the basing material, i've been trying to figure out what to use to base my display board for adepticon.

They look rather good, especially for the price. Any chance of shots with models, for scale? I can guess about the jungle head roughly, based on the GW hill (even that is tenuous, as I have to use models to size the hill, then use the hill to size the head), but that's it.

Yah i'll throw some models in the shots i am planning to add some more as soon as i get some time.

Cool. I found the following stuff on Petblvd.com

All of it was relatively cheap. The temple was $23 and is 11" tall, the head was $12, and the Egyptian stuff was about $7 each.

Great finds, I especially like that the green temple/idol head in the first post has a nice flat top for placing minis.

I gamed with a group for a while that had some awesome roman ruins that turned out to be just aquarium pieces, with no additional painting at all.

Diggin' it. I was gonna go to the pet store just for some of the aquarium plants to eventually convert into plant-terrain (jungle, of course), but never thought of using actual aquarium decor as terrain.

Brilliant!

Same here. Snake and turtle "rocks" always look like perfect little hills and cliffs.
I want to make an Ork board with a bunch of little aquarium treasure chests set up in a little hoard now.
Or just buy treasure chests to use as Ork objective markers

This invokes so much Goonies:

[Chunk glued the statue's penis on upside-down]
Chunk: How's this?
Mikey: Oh, you idiot! You glued it on upside-down!
Brandon Walsh: If God made it that way, you'd all be pissing in your faces!
Chunk: Looks fine to me.

Pet stores are great for finding terrain pieces. The rock thing that's usually in my pictures is actually for a fish tank as is out of the box. I like the archway with the gargoyle the best there.
