No word on when Diablo III is coming to consoles, but rest assured, it's happening.

Honestly, I'm waiting for more Torchlight II, though I may pick up DIII to play with a friend.

Excellent, well my CE is pre-ordered anyways, just waiting for its arrival.

I will probably play the console version more when it eventually arrives, but want the WoW in game pet, thus CE.

holding out for the console version. when you're old like me, sitting in front of a PC for hours isn't fun :(

Hehe, every screen shot I have seen of that expansion so far is getting me very enthusiastic for its release. I think I get Beta access anyways for the year long thing I signed up to, so will see for myself eventually. However I am one of those folks like enjoyed the Worgen arrival into WoW, and will also be looking forward to playing a Pandarian.

I just hope they give us more Character slots, its slightly annoying my main realm is maxed. If they let me have my 50 slots on the one realm, I'd only be on the one server, instead of the three I find myself on.

My main realm is full and all but two of the characters are 80+. The two under 80 have items no longer available.

Yeah I'm around the same, think I have three below 80 on it, but my bankie is 35 and probably not leveling anytime soon. I have another two 80's on the other realms though.

Just frustrating as the past three Blizzcon's the question for more slots has been raised, and they are still draggin their feet over it.


As to Diablo 3, it is looking really interesting, its been ages since I was playing Diablo 2 nearly every night as well, so might be a good distraction while waiting for MoP to drop.

I do agree with Necros though, will play more of the Console version just so I can chill out on the sofa.
I also hope they put in two player co-op on the console, however I suspect it will be LIVE only. Which will be a shame as I'd like to have both.

I'm likely going to hold out for a console release. After playing Torchlight with a controller I've been spoiled, and I can't think of any other way I want to play. With the power that current generation consoles are putting down, they should be able to handle Diablo III without much issue.

Torchlight II is also looking good, but I'm going to hold off ranting about that as this is a Diablo III oriented topic, and passions run high over these sorts of things.

The game does look fun, and purty! I'm happy they finally put in Male/Female options for all the characters... Demon Hunter it is.

So I can feel like an Inquisitor.

Oh you mean like Starcraft 2 also got a totaly reasonable review rating?

WAIT A MINUTE.

Just because SC2 got good reviews doesn't mean that there isn't a lot of vocal hatred for the game.

And it works exactly the same for Diablo 3. That game will be getting the same ratings purely based on hype. There will be haters, but haters have never effected reviews.

That was the point I was trying to make.

How good a game actually is has nothing to do with a review score these days. It's all about the monies.

And any review using a numerical score is going to be wrong. You just can't sum up a game in one or two digits.

My Internet connection has dropped out 10-15 times this morning. This happens quite often. If I were attempting to play the single player Diablo III on my PC during this time I would be stopped thanks to their stupid 'always online' bs.

So no. Screw DIII.

Let's drag this back from, "ARGH! REVIEWS!" over to "Yay! A Game!"

If you like it, rant about it and play it.

If you hate it, this is the internet, there is a 100% chance there's the perfect angry mob for you to join.

The game will be fun, and it will be addicting. It will also be much prettier than the old ones. There will be Easter Eggs, and quotes by Deckard Caine.

My only concern is not being able to play it without an internet connection, another reason I'm holding out for a console release.

Used to be a big fan. Though the wait has completely killed off any feeling of hype I may have had.

It certainly has been a long while coming. At least we can all agree that Half-Life 3 is the new Duke Nukem Forever. I expect to be drowned in a flood of D3 info in the coming weeks.

If Half-Life 3 ends up suffering the same fate as DKF I'm going to curse Valve for the rest of my life, and from the grave.

Reviews haven't meant anything for 15 years, as far as I can see ('cos that's when I was 15, buying games, buying gamer mags, realising "hey, these games aren't good, yet they're scored 8.8 in all the mags"). The magazines can't jyst tell the buyers that the games aren't good, can they? Then who'd buy the games, and therefore the magazines? Surely it's the same for websites.

Instead of Necro we get crackhead witch doctor. At least the female version doesn't look so bad.

I was hoping the demon hunter had melee abilities, that hope was dashed.

I'll be getting the CE for sure, simply because I want a soul stone usb. I couldn't care less for a wow pet.

As for the always online bit, at first I was unhappy, but at the end of the day it realistically doesn't really effect me negatively. I haven't had to use spotty internet in like 6 or so years, and I doubt that's going to change anytime soon. Still, I can see why people dealing with crappy ISP's will have a legitimate gripe with it. It also seems really unnecessary to me.

I'm saving up for GW2's pre-order, D3 will likely have to wait until summer.

Both this and GW2 are immediate pre-orders.
