Is it just me or does Asterion seem to be the perfect basis for a rather dynamic Belial conversion?

Very nice indeed - pre-ordering them now.

It looks very much as though Asterion Moloc's armour is intended to resemble a Heresy-era Terminator suit - perhaps a hint of something to which to look forward from FW?

I thought the same for a fraction of a minute, the realized it doesn't fit the DA aesthetic enough to me.

I'll stick to converting Culn models for my Belials(the only reason this sentence uses plural being that I forgot to magnetize him the first time I did it).

I'd say that's fairly doubtful. Their Terminators tend to look a little bit "different" to GW proper's, excepting Tyberos the Red Wake(who was originally a conversion of a standard GW Terminator by Will Hayes with some sculptwork). If you want to see a "hint" of what they'd do in terms of the Heresy-era Terminator suits, look at Hector Rex.

And I'm glad of that. The GW plastic terminators are awful. No-one can stand with legs splayed that far apart - they look ridiculous

Who, incidentally, isn't actually wearing Terminator armor.

Does a unit of artillery fire like a normal unit? IE do they all have to fire at the same target? So far that s the only part of the rules that I would change is allow each one to fire seprately (since both crew seem to have a targeter on their backpacks). I might have to order 3 either way. 8) Ohh and if you didnt go look at the FW sites pics, the chaplains crozus has a built in twinlinked boltpistol. So thats alot of CC weapons for one chaplain.

I like the space marines from the Badab book, but I can't use them in my army with all of that Bull Iconography.

I love the Rapier and crew. Pretty bitchin. I'll use it as a thunderfire cannon with my group.

This pose cracks me up. "Dude. You should, like, totally shoot some of those guys over there, or something. Sweet..."

Irony meter destroyed.

Anywhoo...

I like these two characters, but they seem way too "Minotaur specific" to even consider getting for other uses.

Cheaper than the new medium-sized Failcast characters.

These prices are pretty high for 2 dudes...

I do what I can.

But the point I made still stands. Asterion isn't really mentioned as having a Terminator suit which might date back to the Heresy; nor anything about the Minotaurs suggesting it. The Hellenic look though does bring up echoes of the Heresy--which is likely intentional as if we look at most of the artwork it seems to have the Hellenic/Roman look to the wargear of the Astartes.

That said, I hadn't originally noticed the twin-linked Bolt Pistol on the Chaplain. It reminds me of one of those "bang sticks" you sometimes see divers carrying in shark waters (incidentally: I learned a new term today! The actual name is a "powerhead").

And of course the Rapier can't be used by Chaos. COme on FW, throw us a bone! (The decimator's a step in the right direction, just too fething expensive!)

I assume the price is meant to echo Huron's cost (which is 19 GBP) as he is the only other Terminator character they sell who includes a "scenic base" bit. The Chaplain likely, if sold by himself, would be in the 15-18 GBP bracket...so it's high, but not as high as it could be.
