Hi, as im new here i thought i would show off a few of my DA minis. These are done pretty fast but i liked the way they ended up looking. C&C welcome

These are looking rather nice.
The chaplains look excellent, did you ink in the green shades?
The librarian is also gorgeous, nice smooth finish.
The robed biker could do with a little tidy on the cloak, its no where near as smooth as the others you've done.
All in all excellent stuff looking forward to seeing more.

These are looking really nice. I must say I really like you Librarian and the last pic the most. Your bases look fantastic as well.

Thanks guys, the greens were done with dark green inks and glazing highlighted out to a custom green i mixed. I tried to keep the cloaks a little dirtier looking on the jump Captain and the biker due to trying to make them seem a little more "in motion". Im not sure if the desired effect worked lol

I love them, my only grip is that the lightning effect on the power weapons is really bringing the rest of the model down :(

yeah i did all these in about two weeks, a friend of mine picked up 2k of sisters and had me paint them for him, after i finished his troops i tried to whip these guys out quick so he didnt have to fight ninja DA, not my best work by a long shot but they look good on a table so im happy with them for now, i never took pics of the two tac units ill snap some of them up and post them tomorrow. Just have a dev squad and the rest of my ravenwing squad and ill be at 2k painted to throw down with.

Nice paintjob, really like the chaplains and the libby.
I suggest doing thinner white lines on the power weapons, and drilling out the gunbarrels. Also, the flying guys still look like they're "walking".

Chappy in terminator armor looks fantastic. Great to see a unique scheme for this model tha always seems to get
painted the same way.

The conversions and paintjobs are plain awesome, but I have to admit that the "flying" guys look a bit weird. The legs aren't modelled in a way that they resemble a flying/taking off motion.

But thats just a minor complaint. ^^

Im super diggin the chaplains! Not so much the decals on the banner tho but thats no biggie. ALWAYS ALWAYS ALWAYS apply decals over a gloss coat. Never put them straight on top of GW paint, they wont sit very well and youll get silvering

Yes ill use him as my compamy jump master, i actually have yet to play a game with these guys though i own a full company im turning into 3rd Co, a full deathwing, and a full ravenwing. Ive got a long way to go till fully painted. On the chaplains i use a mix of inking and glazing to keep a smooth finish.

Stuff looks great like the movement bases for the jump packers

Your pale green is amazing, especially on the TDA chapelain.

WTF mate. I just got burying my deep seeded love for dark angels, and you throw that assault marine in a robe out at me? Come on that guy is flipping awesome. Where did you get that mace?

I think i got that mace from the DA chapter upgrade sprue, if not there then the regular command squad sprue would be my second guess. Just one i had in the ole bits box. Glad to see i can intice another DA player from the brink, the 3rd Co welcomes you back

Btw the movement trays for the jump troops are old resin sets from armorcast i believe.

That mace is indeed from the DA Chapter Upgrade sprue.

I like what I see for what you've done, cursedmydice. The only thing that kind of seems "off" to me is that green wash on the bone colored Chaplains. It just looks kind of strange in photos, it might look far better in person.

Its not a bone color at all actually, its a pale green. It looks pretty close to the pics, maybe a little greener but not much if any.

love the colors. great stuff all in all. the lighting effects need to be redone though. there is a great tutorial from girl painting in the painting forum. check it out!!

I probly will go back and redo all the power weapons later, i just wanted them done fast so i went with the most visually striking i could do fast for the time being. Really thinking of going with a bright blue GK style blade on them instead.

Not yet but as soon as i get some new camera batteries ill post one up. I only have one assault termie squad done so far but i have more ill be doing up after im done with a couple of other projects.
