My regulars are-

For 40k, 11th Company and 40KUK.
For Warhammer, Garagehammer and Heelanhammer.

All are pretty free flowing with good hosts and little dead air. The Garagehammer crew especially have great rapport and are great listening but all are good. Heelanhammer and 40kUK are a little tournament centric but I don't attend many and still enjoy both podcasts. Thumbs up all round

I don't know if you're looking specifically for 40k-based ones, but I listen to the F Plus Podcast over and over again.

http://thefpl.us

Yes, that's the actual website - one of the finest uses of a .us address I've ever seen.

The gist of the podcast is that the two head guys, Lemon and John, bring in a bunch of other "ridiculists" and read awful things on the internet in ~1 hour long episodes. They've also done two live shows out in Minneapolis at a small, local restaurant.

This one is a little out of the ordinary (if you really look through the episodes, a majority of them are, shock of all shocks, forum posts) but it features fanfiction from two different authors, Hans von Hozel and ShakespeareHemingway. The second half of the episode is the readers reading one called "Garfield: First Blood Part II: Forever Fist," which is just a work of art, really.

Episode 43: My Fanfics are Full of Emotion!

It's at least worth a listen. NSFW warning though, there tends to be a bit of swearing throughout the episodes (and a few feature disturbing sex acts and/or fetishes).

They're the only two I listen to.

40kRadio had a lot of controversy a while back about some very prejudiced comments by one of the hosts. I hear they're bouncing back from that though. The Independent Characters is fantastic and is a few cuts above the rest.

It's a completely different cast, now. Romeo (the dude that owns Battle Foam) owns and runs 40k Radio now. He wasn't involved at all when that controversy went down.

Romeo used to be one of the hosts, now he mainly just does interviews. Kyle, Chiller, and some other dude do most of the hosting now.

That's good to hear, glad they got rid of that guy. I'm not a huge fan of Romeo either, but I've heard some good things about it from before the controversy and more recently.

On a boat, Trying not to die.

Try out Life After The Cover Save. It's not a kids show in any respect (they make way to many adul jokes), but they are the most enjoyable to listen to.

Great bunch of guys who know what they talk about, if they talk about it.

Independent Characters all the way. You can tell they put a lot of work into the show and the dynamic between the hosts is great. Nothing else in the 40k land comes close to this podcast.

40K Radio isn't bad either, I've started listening after they got rid of Romeo and the show flows a lot better now with much better structure and conversations.

The only other podcast left on my playlist is 11th Company though I'll only listen to that if I'm all out of shows. They have some good stuff but it's rare. Their show is the only show that puts out stuff weekly so that might be the reason why the signal to noise ratio is a bit worse than average. Still not bad at times when you need something to listen to while painting.

The D6 Generation is a pretty good show with not too horrible humor. They cover a variety of tabletop games as well as other geeky stuff.

Independant Characters is the only 40k-focused podcast I to and I think they do a great job.

The only two I never miss are The independant characters and 11ith Company. I will, on occasion, also listen to 40k Warcasting, Heelanhammer, 40k radio, Heroic 28's, Deep Strike Radio, and Garage Hammer. Not in order of preference.

Always happy to see someone new enjoying these guys.

I do just want to say that the Wesley Crusher episode is atypical; most of their episodes run about an hour, and usually involve more than one piece of content. Wesley Crusher: Teenage Feth Machine was just a story they found and had to read aloud, and apparently most of it took them several takes before they could do it without laughing.

A podcast I enjoy very much is Caustic Soda, three guys who pick one gross or morbid thing each week and still manage to make it fun, I would recommend the Doomed Expeditions episodes

If you browse around the site be careful though, some(well, actually most) of the pictures that they put up for the episodes are not for the faint of heart(or stomach)

Thank you for showing me this, this is one of the funniest things I've heard in a long time, I really had to hold back not to laugh out loud all the while during the bus ride to work today while listening to it, great stuff

If it's not just 40k podcasts then I have one I'll recommend.

One of the few podcasts I've ever listened to with any regularity is the D&D podcasts featuring Mike Krahulick and Jerry Holkins (Gabe and Tycho from Penny Arcade), Wil Wheaton, Scott Kurtz (from webcomic PVP) and Chris Perkins from Wizards of the Coast.

The banter between them is often hilarious with topics ranging from *cough* "experimentation" with Elves in high school to Wheaton's Vicious Cock Punch Of Furious Anger when a player rolls a one at the wrong time of the game.

They're all available for download from the D&D website.

NSFW for language and adult humour.

Not 40k but I enjoy Comedy Death Ray (also known as Comedy Bang Bang), which I know you can pickup for free from iTunes and many other places. They have a lot of celebrity guests along with a lot of fake celebrity guests, who are usually famous comedians impersonating and making fun of their friends/other celebrities in the most ridiculous fashion. It can have a bit dry of humor sometimes and episodes are hit or miss (either absolutely crying for most of the episode hilarious or you're waiting for a punchline) but they're always at least interesting to listen to.

Most famously they make fun of Huell Houser, a rather moronic host of a California public television travel show. And he kind of deserves it, I've watched some of his stuff out of curiousity and he sincerely described a lake as watery and was baffled by a building that had the top floor removed because of damage. Don't know if he's just really high or stupid. It's California so it's always one of those two....

Outside the DarkTower, amongst the roses.

For 40k I like the overlords podcast.

One podcast I cant live without is Hollywood Bable-on, I also like jay and silent bob get old too but HBO is by far my fav. Also the The Nerdist is really good too.

For some science i like skeptics guide to the galaxy, or star talk radio with Neil Degrasse Tyson.
