Had to. I started listening after seeing this thread and I like it so far! I think your show is pretty interesting and covers a lot of stuff players like to listen to. Very interesting to hear about the Squats Grey Knights haha

I think the Independent Characters Episode 49 is one of the funniest things I've heard in awhile:

think Oscars for 40k

I didn't mean that to come across as dismissive. I'm the kinda person that would turn it off after about 5 minutes if I had lost interest.

Only 40k podcast i listened to was screaming heretic which i do not recommend. Full of overcomplicated and often stupid hobby advice from an anal retentive that cant even paint that well and often terrible audio to boot. But hey thats just my opinion, others like it.

My fav podcasts are the dawn and drew show and the zombie podcast radio play, were alive.

Thanks for this thread, I'll totally try some of these out. Starting with D6 Generation, as meeting those guys at Adepticon (including Russ, founder of Dakka!) was awesome and they were Really funny in-person, so I'm betting they are on their podcast, too!

You have no idea! There have been some hilarious bits in the past, especially when you get all 3 of them (Russ, Craig, and Raef) together.

I'd also like to put a plug in for the Imperial Vox Cast (http://www.imperialvoxcast.com/). These guys hail from Southern California and have a lot of interesting content.

Also, there is The Eternal Warriors (http://theeternalwarriors.com/). This show started quite a while ago as Dice Like Thunder; I think it is on its third or 4th incarnation now.

Finally, for a non-40k podcast, there is "News from the Front," which is the podcast side of the "What Would Patton Do?" website (http://www.wwpd.net/). This show is all about Flames of War, and has a great cast and a lot of good information. Definitely one of the more "focused" shows I've heard, for those that don't like a lot of banter on their podcasts . Recently, they have been doing a lot of great segments highlighting the major changes in the FoW 3rd edition rules.

I was actually referring to the comment before yours (about the co-host being stupid!)

By the way, I am enjoying the Independent Characters show though. I wasn't a fan of the Thronies Award episode, but I seem to be the only one I'm downloading Episode 46 and REALLY excited to get to listen to it. I've been looking forward to the IA 11 and would love to hear all of your commentaries on it. Keep up the good work !

PS - I think the sound quality of the podcast is decent but I think you could bump the quality with some basic sound boxes ($5-10 each and easy to make). If you want and advice on it feel free to shoot me a PM. Was doing professional recording (music) for a few years for a living on both sides of the board.

PPS - The site just got redone? Looks sleek!

An awesome short podcast briefly discussing philosophy, bio-ethics and other fascinating topics. The above link is to an episode about neuroscience and morality.

Balance in pick up games? Two people, each with their own goals for the game, design half a board game on their own without knowing the layout of the board and hope it all works out. Good luck with that. The faster you can find like minded individuals who want the same things from the game as you, the better.
