Thank you very much! I think it took me about 10 hours just on that part.

Here is the interior lighting for the rhino I could not upload before.

Hope you guys enjoy!

Wow; these look simply amazing. I hate reading blogs like these because I look at my own space wolves and feel very sad. I love the free hand on the banner and the lighting on the inside of the rhino.

The OSL on the powerfist really brings it together for me.

I feel that the lava bases are unique enough and the reds mesh with the reds of the Great Company well enough that it's a great and unique fit. Love the freehand on the sides of the bases.

I ran into some problems with the dune buggy wheels. For some reason they stayed sticky after I primed them. I had to airbrush on about 3 coats of black, and 2 coats clear coat to combat the sticky. The sticky got on my fingers and I accidently touched the paint job. I had to REDO the paint job on the buggy That was a set back. I went to my LGS to try to get a game yesterday and my gunner was to tall to put into my case. I poped him off with a knife "carefully" and one of the wheels popped off too somehow. The glue is not wanting to bond, I tried greenstuff and magnets - both were fail. So I am going to wedge some spure into the inner wheel well...that should work. The good news is that the new paint job I think has more character. I also went ahead and magnitized the turret guy for storage and possible weapon swaps. I plan on leaving the buggy on the flight base, but modifing the base to fit my theme and make the buggy look like its jumping off a ledge. this will keep the buggy the correct height of the land speeder to keep the games fair.

Thank you so much inmygraveimage! I have always been weak on edge detailing and I really prefer models without, but the standards want it so I do it lol. I am glad you took notice of it because it makes me want to do it more. Thank you again for your comments!

Thank you Stormcrow! That powerfist I have never gone that direction with one glowing. I am very happy with its results. I added gloss on it to give it a wet glow - I don't know how to describe it, but it got the look I wanted lol. The lava bases was an idea to try to take the space wolves in another direction on their home planet since a lot of people focus on the winter side of the world. The runes on the bases was kind of an idea from my GF. She mentioned putting nail polish on their heads so she could tell who was who...I was like UHH NO! So the runes are going to be squad coloring so she can tell whos/who LOL. Better than nail polish. I am glad you like it; I was unsure how people would receive that idea. I hope others feel the same as you! When I plan a model I try to make sure that the base is going to compliment the models paint scheme. It is really cool you took notice to how it meshes with the rest of the theme. Thank you.

I got the wulfen models off of Ebay, but they are from the hordes/warmachine line. I think they were called skinwalkers or something. Circle of Orobos is the army I think. The models are metal. If you get them becareful with the axes as they seemed to get bent up easy in shipping. I had one actually break on me, lucky for me it was the hilt end so it looks cool still lol.

Thank you Hobofisherman! It is an honor to me when someone uses an idea of mine! Thank you as that means a great deal to me.

Here is the progress on the land speeder dune buggy conversion! Should be done by Wed. I just need to paint the guns, the gunner, highlight the vehicle, add the weather, add tires, and do the base.

Thank you! I saw those horns and was like "omg, this is so going on there. It is glossy on the ends and dulls as it gets to the base also kinda like real ones. Thank you also for the comment about the freehand stuff! That is my favorite part in painting! Freehand! I am hoping to have the speeder done tonight and work the base tomorrow!

Hello everyone! Here is the latest model for the blog! It is my land speeder dune buggy. I really love this model and is one of my all time favs. The base I have not done yet and I may not do it at all. The model is around 3 cm shorter than it would be with the base, but I am going to still use it so I don't put unwanted pressure on the tires. They are secured good now, but I do not want to test them lol. So my personal blog is up and running...still no tuts yet on it but here is the link and you can find more pictures 360 of this cool ride! http://houseofelstudios.blogspot.com/ I hope you guys like it as much as me. Thank you for looking!

There's deranged genius at work here - best buggy LS I've seen! Oddly my favourite details are the lights, though it's all round ace.

Great stuff can't help but think that the Redmaw symbol is nowhere near up to the standard of the rest of the freehand. It's alright rather than utterly awesome. The glowy runes in particular are a brilliant touch.

Thank you Llamahead for the feed back. I am guessing you are talking about the redmaw symbol on the Rhino? If so I do feel you there. I tried to spruce it up the best I could, but its such a plain symbol. I am open for suggestions because the other tanks will be getting it too unless someone or myself thinks of a better way. The glowing runes I just love also, and thank you for pointing them out! Quick question to you or anyone that wants to answer...

Should I put runes on the scouts and long fang bases to show which squad they belong to like the GH's? Or just do the GH's?

Thank you! I am glad you like the rhino and the skinwalker! I love the skinwalker models, and I think they would prob look good in your army as well!

I am almost done with the first long fang squad. Should I post pics of all 18 or 6 at a time??

Would asking for both be greedy of me? For the Red Maw symbol doing it more spruced up with a more realistic less stylistic wolf like the one on the roof would work nicely.

Good news the razorback I am working on has a new icon on the door. Hope it's fits better! Let me know guys when I post the pics which better fits. I should have pics within 2 days or less.

Your gonna have to wait until after July to see those guys, sorry Stormcrow. I have to do the primary 2k points first. If I get that done before then than I will do those first for you.

Hi everyone! I got my first Long Fang Squad done and their Razorback. I am holding the Long's off to post them with the other 2 Long squads. I tried a new picture technique...let me know which style is better please. My only complaint about this RB is that it is a lighter color than my Rhino >< I think it will be ok though once there all done. Also I came up with a new door icon vrs the one in the Rhino picture...check it out and let me know what you all think vrs the other. Thanks guys!

Hey guys! I got the Long Fangs 100% done! I took these guys per fluff making them older and wiser with grey hair and yellow eyes. If you click on the image you can go to zoom in on them to see the faces. I even got fangs showing on some lol. Also I gave each long fang a tooth shoulder pad to represent there honor in being traing on heavy weapons. The SGTs I wanted them to stand out so I dressed up their swords and gave 2 plasma guns for show, while the third has a bolt pistol with a dynamic pose. These SGTs are by far the most fun I have painted so far...esp the one with the tattoo on his head. Also, i hope everyone enjoyed my razorback I posted as I did not get very much feed back in its reguards.

That's some great work! I think the osl on the 2nd plas is more successful than the first, though, if you don't mind my saying - both very well executed, but first is a bit too much, IMO.

Thank you! Also thank you for your feedback. Sometimes I tend to go overboard on that stuff lol. I agree with you. Also one was using a brush for the osl and the other was used using an airbrush. Here is the project I am working on now.

I am sorry it took so long to reply. I paint my bases using gore red, blood red, blazing orange, vomit brown, sunburst yellow, and skull white. Wash with the the red was (the older one) and repeat the process paying attening to the transition of color and the placement of the tint and shades.

Thank you so much! I really enjoy playing with this codex as well. The current edition of Space Wolves have made a lifer out of me...I don't think I will ever change dex's because they are so fluid and versitle. I will dabble with others but never my primary.

I have not kept track of this thread - I have been posting all the new stuff in the showcase thead. The link is in my sig just click the picture.
