Why are terminators (Space Marine Terminators) have to be so expensive! I mean $50.00 for 5 guys! What is up with that!

Because they know you want them, and know you'll grudgingly buy them for that price.

HA! I wish I could get Termies for $62 NZ, we pay basicly $70 US

Get on Ebay, go to the 40k section, and punch in "terminator". You will be able to build a squad of them (either assault or tactical) for 25-30$ or less...providing you don't mind the older metal models. Even if you have your heart set on the newer platic models if you look for used and assembled models with awful little kid paint jobs (stripping them using "simple Green" is very simple) you can build the unit for pennies on the dollar.

My point is, shop smart and they don't cost you 50$.

For the last year me and my mates/Brother been using a few other sites that offer 25-30% discount. bran new sealed. free P&P normaly 2 weeks but meh 30% who cares!!?

just look around there is a few sites. yes ebay is another good route but most people want to kit and position each new model them selfs.

i can not give you the site name on here.

i think its very shocking how much GW charge for the models . and now we got FINE-CRAP with 10% increase is one big fat joke!

in 10-15 years, other companys will swallow GW cos of there greed!

Used to have certain website that was the home of the Red Corsairs, but all of that got banned to NZ

I first thought that it was because they were loosing money but then i remembered that they must have so much money because they have been there for quite a while!

If you want you can buy the Assault on Black Reach terminators. They have power fist and storm bolter and if you want another weapon some glue and green stuff could work. Go to ebay and buy them used too.

They always put prices up in June every year..... worldwide price is worked off British Pound, but when i check the US and AUS sites there getting shafted!!

GW only care about making money, i was in Warhammer World 2 weeks ago. there was a 10 years old who said to the GW staff. " WHO Prices these boxes?" the GW just lol-ed

if they only droped it down by 20% or never raise again maybe, just maybe more people would start playing Warhammer......

People are still selling the Assault on Black Reach Terminators. Anywhere from $13-$20. Look on ebay for those for awhile and you can find a deal.

or buy an assault on black reach and sell the orks. its 100 dollars and you get a dread, terminators, a tactical squad and a commander. a 150 dollar value for 100 if you have a bits box then viola you have whatever weapons you want. Also you can trade with friends i acquired a standard gw dreadnought for my assault on black reach one because the guy wanted multi-meltas and i wanted missile launchers 1 straight swap later I was in buisness.

i really like the idea of getting black reach and using the space marines but selling the orks

i'd gladly pay $50 for 5 meganobz the ork equivilant.. i instead have to pay $20 per model, a 5 mand squad runs $100 and they aren't as good as termies with no inv save and very limited alt equipment.. though they do have 2 wounds

They're not much cheaper to US buyers and the models are clearly inferior from a detail and design perspective.

They've been $50 for as long as I can remember, going back to when they were metal. They are one of the few units that hasn't seen a price increase in...a very long time.

Yeah, terminators have stayed very stable in their cost for a long time. As have Rhinos, Razorbacks, and Drop Pods.

EBay. $35 will get you 5.

I just bought 9 very nicely painted ones for $65.

Think that's bad? Tyranid Raveners are 3 for $50. 40mm base, 30 point units and they only come with one switchable arm pair and a different chest. Our Warriors are also 3 for $50. We also have the Pyrovore at $40 for one.

Theres even bigger ripoffs than Termies!

a rhino 37.25 for a single 35 point model.
