pretty sure that most was destroyed by all of the nukes unleashed by the custodians and SW's, and Magnus teleported a little bit of it into the warp to form the the planet of the sorcerers

I thought that all of the homeworlds of the Traitor Legions were Exterminatus-ed after the Horus Heresy to prevent them from corrupting any future settlers. I dont have a source, just remember reading it somewhere.

Its still there. Just a forbidden system...in any case, Captain Kalliston came back later and died there, and Sergeant Arvida swore he'd gather what was left of the Fourth Fellowship scattered across the galaxy and find a way to avenge the true cause of their legion's destruction after seeing the ruins of the City of Light. It makes for grisly reading...Kalliston and Arvida's squad even found the burnt remains of a child's ribcage in the streets.

I should have left him there. He had served his purpose. He owed me nothing - yet he gave himself to me willingly. Why? I know not. He is nothing more than a pathetic human. An inferior race. A mon-keigh. But still I broke off my wings so that I might carry him easier. I took him from that place, into the snowstorm where our tracks will not be found. He is heavy. And he is dying. And he is slowing me down. But I will save him. Why? I know not. He is still warm. I can feel his blood ebbing across me. For every beat of his heart, another, slight spill of heat. The heat blows away on the winter wind. His blood is still warm. But fading. And I have spilled scarlet myself. The snow laps greedily at our footsteps and our lifeblood, covering them without a trace as we fade away.

It probably can't be resettled...
It was exterminatus-ed after the HH was finished.

They just sniped the Sisters...but I agree with Captain Kalliston - Magnus using sorcery to warn the Emperor, and accepting Tzeentch's offer of 'sanctuary'- thinking that Magnus's actions were either insane or incomprehensibly evil that any further loyalty to him was meaningless. I'm not saying Russ was right to burn Prospero - the Emperor ordered Russ to bring Magnus back to Terra - but there were other ways to vindication. Like Magnus going to Terra with his best warriors and fastest ships and sending the rest of the legion to join a pro-Librarian legion.

Prospero was actually originally a very lush, verdant planet. From the A Thousand Sons novel: "Prospero is a paradise, a wondrous planet of light and beauty. Its mountains are soaring fangs of brilliant white, its forests verdant beyond imagining and its oceans teem with life."

But yeah, when the Wolves attacked it, they messed it up big time. And like the others said, it was most likely Exterminatus'd after the Heresy and is now little more than a barren ball of rock. Probably doesn't even have much of an atmosphere any more.

Extermination occurred before the heresy began according to the book "propsero burns" due to future Horus communicating with Kasper at the time of the purging saying that it is still two years before he gets whacked with the magic sword. And to whoever asked yes nukes were used on propsero, they were used to the extent that the planets oceans were all bioled off in the first salvo's of OTG (orbital to ground) fire. Must recommend you read both a Thousand sons and prospero burns if you haven't already, both great books.

And heck you can't even get your own jollies off without Slaanesh giggling and farting out some daemons. And if you manage to avoid all that, some genestealers might infiltrate your planet and bring a hive fleet crashing down on you any way.

The Planet of the Sorcerors is completely different from Prospero.

The Planet of the Sorcerors was created by Tzeentch aeons before present day in preparation for the events of the Heresy that Tzeentch foresaw.

Prospero is a burnt out hunk of rock in a forbidden system.

A paradise world you say? No wonder the TS legion is so weak. A home world like that is bound to produce weak warriors.

Yeah, and so are the fair worlds of the Realm of Ultramar.

Not quite. The Emperor told Horus to order Russ to Prospero to do that. Horus, who had already fallen by then, somewhat (note: sarcasm) exaggerated the Emperor's displeasure to Russ, to the point where Russ was out for blood.

The only question about Prospero is whether it is a dead cinder from the Wolves assualt followed by a post-Heresy virus bombing (it's the only way to be sure), or if the post-Heresy cleanup involved cyclonic torpedos, which means Prospero has been repurposed as an astroid belt.

funny, nobody responded...c'mon fanboys...

ADB: I showed the Wolves revealing the key weakness at the heart of the World Eaters; showing Angron that his Legion was broken and worthless compared to the others; that he was the one primarch who couldn't trust his own warriors, and that they didn't care if he lived or died; showing that loyalty to brothers and sons is the heart of success for the Legiones Astartes, to the point even Lorgar makes a big deal out of saying the World Eaters and their primarch were massively outclassed by Russ, and Angron was too stupid to see the lesson Russ had sacrificed time, sweat, and blood, to teach. We're talking about a battle the Wolves won, by isolating the enemy general through pack tactics, and threatening to kill him, without a hope of defending himself. It was a balance, 50/50 - Angron overpowered Russ, and the Wolves were losing ground to the World Eaters; but Russ and his warriors had Angron by the balls, and barely broke a sweat. They won, no question. Lorgar even says: "The Wolves won, meathead."

Dorn won’t help you either. He’s too busy being the Emperor’s groundskeeper, hiding behind the palace walls. The Wolf is too busy cutting off heads as our father’s executioner, while the Lion holds on to his secrets, and has no special fondness for you. Who else will come? Not Ferrus, certainly. Nor Corax either. Even as we speak, I suspect he flees for Deliverance. Sanguinius?’ Curze laughed cruelly. ‘The angel is more cursed than I. The Khan? He does not wish to be found. So who is left? This. Tallarn was destroyed via exterminatus during the Horus Heresy and it is still a desert. Originally it was a lush agri-world.
