No, not pre-heresy. I'm not doing another pre-heresy Emperor's Children army.

Yes, i have a pink army. I have yet to play them outside of my immediate group of friends. My question is this - should I repaint the pink parts of their armor as a light purple, or something less feminine.
I don't mean to be stereotyping anything but I wonder if I'm going to be made fun of or teased for the pink marines.

What do you guys think?

You're playing with dollies made for men. Mandolls. I wouldn't worry about the colour of your army, it really doesn't matter. Anybody giving you grief is likely to grief you anyway.

Harsh. I'm more into the artistic aspect rather than playing, so I view them more as extremely small works of art that also happen to have a recreational purpose.

Yes you are.

But then who cares? Your reaction to it will either fuel or squelch it.

And if people are going beyond the usual good natured joking and really trying to give it to you, then they have done you a favor because now you know they are not worth playing/hanging out with anyways.

But really, there's a reason for the colours you've picked so be proud of them. Nobody who actually plays and cares for the game/hobby will grief you for a pink army.

I think it would actually look rather nice, if done well that is. And ignore any haters, life is to short to bother with them

If they bust your chops, then just beat them down with that army. Make them feel the shame of getting their asses kicked by some fashionably pink Chaos Marines.

Yours are pink. So what ? ^^

Be proud of playing pink models, it's not more ridiculous than red, green or grey. I paint some of my orks pink, and you know what ? It's a color that works pretty well with their green skin (see here or there, for exemple) .

I make fun of Ultramarines for being blue on a daily basis.. "What's it like being Games Workshop's uncreative poster boy chapter, huh? HUH?"

I say go for it. Fluffy armies are awesome and while you may get the occasional comment poking fun at them being Pink you will also get the occasional comment about how it is cool you modeled them after the EC.

Would you really dont paint your army in the colors you want, cause people could make fun of it? Scrudge it, do it the way you think it look better

If someone start to make jokes about your pink marines, do jokes about your marines too, and never, NEVER, get upset about it. Instead, joke around and laugh about how pinky they are.

Don't repaint. That'd be lame.

Don't ever re-paint those models. Take pride in what you've done and the choice you've made and stood by to this point.

'Haters gonna hate'

Haters will always try and grief you for something, the best thing to do is laugh it off or even join in, at the end of the day if they are so petty to continously make horrible or inappropriate jokes they probably aren't worth playing with anyways

However if someone is just giving you a friendly ribbing, again just laugh it off, join in and understand that everyone gets made fun of for something

One of my mates made a tyranid army that has completely Bright Pink / Electric Pink chitin, with 'Baby Blue' scythes and weapons to make them as cutesy as possible. I often make jokes about them, but we both know its for fun and no offence or hurt is behind the jokes. Plus he's always making fun of my Dark Angels or 'Space Catholics' as he's sometimes dubbed them

It's not so much the actual color as the feminine associations with said color that concerns me.

Be pink and proud.

I'll be honest and say that its not my thing but i have never been a fan of the colour. However i do know someone who made a rather funk pink and baby blue army. So enjoy the colours you choose and let your imagination guide you, not the haters.

My mate had an Emperors Children army painted in black and tentacle pink- nobody made fun of it because a) it was really well done and b) he gave everyone else a royal slap with it when it came to gaming.

God I hated that pink army of doom...

That's like getting all fretful that people might make fun of you for your Chaos Marines' silly hair or horns or something.

Meanwhile, there's nothing wrong with a bit of 'feminine association' - but I don't think anyone will mistake you for a girl if you play Emperor's Children. I play Alpha Legion (and Tyranids, and Thousand Sons) and I am yet to have ever been mistaken for a three-headed mysterious Egyptian space buglizard.

Slaanesh's color is pink. People are generally accepting of that. I've never run into someone immature enough that they make fun of someone for playing Emperor's Children or other Slaaneshi armies...and I used to play Emperor's Children. And as far as femininity...a good majority of them have tits. By playing Slaanesh, you are accepting the fact that you will get in touch with your feminine side.


Besides, everyone knows only real men wear pink.

Yep, agreed with most of the above, own the colour because it's what it should be. I personally couldn't do it, but I'm a proud Ultrasmurf player so I own that stigma instead!

Oh, and I tried to paint my nids pink once...didn't work well for me either...now I'm working on an Avatar theme...imagine the hateful remarks I might get next time you field your chaos marines!

The best way to combat haters of Slaanesh is to get naked and do a little erotic dance for them !

I see pink on armies all the time, and nobody has said anything. there is a reason why the color "tentacle pink" caused a stir when GW stopped carrying it a long while back. Matter of fact, your army is one of them.

They might poke fun at you but usually they don't mean to start something of it if they are fellow players, just simple friendly banter usually. You can keep yourself from being targeted by not reacting the way they want you to if you wish, it's worked for me my whole life. You may feel one way but if you react another way it will throw them off if they are actually picking on you just to pick on you.

Well, my army has dark blue on it. Therefore I'm an emo vampire. :'c

Its their fluffy scheme, so i would high five you, then proceed to kill them mthodically for offending the god-emperor.
