I'm being hunted, stalked, pursued even by a woman of a certain age. Actually I wouldn't call her a cougar persay as I usually identify cougars as being in their mid-40s... if not older *shudder* This woman is still twelve years my senior which doesn't really bother me, but I know it would bother others. So Dakka it's time to ask that question, what is the acceptable age gap in a relationship? One night stand or more committed.

I actually think this is a pretty good rule of thumb.

+16 is my high end, although as I get older I'm starting to shorten it. I won't do much more than play hide the hot dog under 25.

Oh yeah no I'm good with it, hot blue eyed redheads can mind control me like no body's business and I've always dated older women. Hell I married a 25 year old model at 18 XD. (Horrible idea for a variety of reasons but the age thing wasn't one of them.... well except me being 18) I was just curious to what everyone else's standards were.

Oldest I ever dated was mid-30s when I was in my mid-late twenties; just seven years' difference. I concur that the older you both are, the less it matters.

The youngest I've dated was (IIRC) ~ seven years difference as well. 18 when I was mid-twenties. Even then 18 was pretty immature and it didn't last long. Once you get past 30 or so, unless you've had a really prolonged adolescence, even college-age girls become children to you, and it's difficult to sustain any kind of interest in them.

I've always went with a very simple rule, you have to find it attractive.

If shes a bit older and I fancy her who cares.. If she got a face like a melted wellington boot/an arse like a rhino/teeth like a witchdoctors necklace... then I don't much give a feth how old she is, shes not getting poked.

Its that simple surely!?

Those three criteria are my qualifiers at pretty much any age.

I pulled the receptionist at my first job, she was 15 years older than me and went like a fething rocket.

Best 6 months of my life.

Been with plenty of older girls in the decade since then and never failed to enjoy the experience, so much less headache than younger models. They know what they want and go for it.

Most fellers worry about their self image - what will my mates think wah etc, when in actual fact they will be jealous as hell.

That said more than 25 years starts to get weird depending on your own age.

Yeah I think "Old Enough to be my Mother" is a good upper limit on where to stop.

and while legal is theoretically the lower limit it's rare for a woman my own age to not make me want to suck start my .45 by the middle of a date, I can only imagine how bad an even younger female would be.

Speaking of dating up one of my buddies has it made because he's dating an older bird. She's in her mid 40s, he's early 30s, she's a complete fitness nut, cooks for him and is generally the perfect girlfriend, little clingy but you should see the meals this brings to work! Spoils the ever living hell out of him XD

Just remember, in most states consent for sex cannot be given by an intoxicated person. Even if they're screaming naked on the floor and you go for it, you can be charged with rape. Seems a bit unfair, until you realize that the number one date rape drug is Alcohol.

Bottom line. Be careful who you're porking - and why.

Yeah, if Alcohol is involved, the best course is to not do it unless 1) you are absolutly POSITIVLY sure she is not too drunk(as in blacked out) or 2) you are already in a relationship together in which physical contact has already been soberly conducted.

Besides, who wants to have drunk sex anyway. Drunk people are gross, not to mention you may not remember it so whats the point?


There are many activities that gain something when done buzzed. RPGs, games of Munchkin, Warhammer, and Charades. Sex is not on this list.

And nothing should ever be done while blacked out, why do something you'll never remember? Its never a good thing when the DA knows more about what you did then you do.

In most states, being under the influence of ANY type of drug automatically removes the person's legal ability to give consent. The person doesn't have to be incapacitated, they just have to be inebriated(sp?)

The situation onlys gets worse if the other person(s) involved is sober, or was the one who provided the drug in question.

Talisman and Super Dungeon Explore are about 20% better when inebriated . Warhammer not so much.
