If you have warriors aboard a NS and drop them off, they cannot assault correct? However, if you have warriors in a Ghost Ark, since it is open topped, the warriors can assault out?

Right as the NS IIRC is not an "assault Vehicle"
Yes to the Ghost Ark, assuming it moved 0-6" they can disembark, than assault

Correct. if a unit drops from the NS they dont scatter and can shoot as full BS (subject to a distance restriction i cant remember off the top of my head), that's it.

Well quick question. Is the ghost ark a assault vehicle? Even if it’s open top if it doesn’t have a assault vehicle classification I though they couldn’t assault after. Though I don’t see why you would want to assault necron warriors unless its against tau.

Open Topped Vehicles have the Assault Vehicle special rule.

Page 82 differs from that, as it goes to say "all open-topped transports are assault vehicles" pg 82 bottom right hand side

Yes, warriors can assault out of a Ghost Ark.
The real question is, why?

I suppose you could have a squad of 5 warriors sharing their Ark with an overlord and 4 lords for a mini-deathstar.

There is. One member from each court per squad.

I was under the impression you can either field you entire court as one big unit. OR you can split them to 1 court member escortign a single unit.
So
2 Lords
1 Cryptek.
2 Lords & Tek with Warriors
OR
They can split and have
Lord wth warriors
Lord with warriors
'Tek with Warriors

I have read about the necron Disco inferno formation:
2 Overlords and 2 full courts all in one big uber deathstar.
not seen it done myself as it tops out at stupid points (probably around 1500 if all the moels are fully kitted out)

That's illegal.... courts cannot join each other.

double FOC, 4 HQ's that all open up a royal court, each court takes 1 lord, all lords attach to the same unit. They're not from the same RC and can therefore all join the same unit. The restriction is that you cannot join more than 1 member from the same RC to the same unit.
Also, RC members can embark on a Ghost Ark on their own.
"Necron Warriors, Necron Lords, Overlords, Crypteks, and Necron Special Characters"
So really, you wouldn't necessarily want the warriors or even the immortals to assault out of it, but certainly the OL's and Lords...even one or two of the crypteks.

i will also point out that royal court members can ONLY be attached to warriors, immortals, lychgaurd and deathmarks.
so the best you could do with double force org would be:
5 lords, 5 crypteks and 4 overlords in the same unit. a full royal court, and then your 4 overlords attached as IC to that court. other lords or court members can not join other royal courts as per their prestriction in the codex.

How are you getting 5 HQ choices in the list? You can't attach 5 Lords to a unit without having 5 Royal Courts.

A single royal court can have 0-5 lords and 0-5 crypteks. Those can then detach (but don't have to and can stay in the court) You can have 1 court per overlord. So buy 4 overlords. One takes a court of max members. All the overlords are IC so can then Join that court.

But you can only attach one lord and one Cryptek to a single unit. So max of 4 Lords and 4 Crypteks in one unit.

You can even go 1-3 destroyer lords attached to the court though just one gives the court PE.

No a RC can operate on its own with 5 lords and 5 Crypteks. Then you can attach IC as desired.

But if you want them to start the game in a Nightscythe you will only be able to run them attached to a squad that can take the Nightscythe as a dedicated transport.

or, just give one of the crypteks a veil of darkness, or take obryn for his ghostwalk mantle.
5 lords, 5 crypteks, 3 OL + obryen and zandrekh makes a DEADLY deathstar... especially if you kit out with warscythes, MSS, and phase shifters.
