Misery. Missouri. Who can tell the difference.

FFG just posted on their FB page that the B-Wing is the next fighter to be released. They are also asking for input on what should be in the next wave.

The B-Wing is probably next, but what other models would you like to see Fantasy Flight add to this game?

The TIE Bomber is the obvious one, alongside a Lambda-class shuttle (as there were gunboat variants).

After that, things get interesting...

TIE Bomber matches the B-wing in role, but would be a much smaller model. The B-wing would be somewhere in size between the Y-wing and the Slave 1.

I would say:

One wave: B-wing and Lambda Assault Shuttle

One wave: TIE Bomber and Z-95 Headhunter

It would also be interesting to see post-movie versions of the prequel movie ships. Imperial V-wings, Delta-7s rebuilt by Rebels, and so on.

The ships from Star Wars:The Old Republic would also work well visually, but those are from a different time period.(And expanded universe)

I think a death star would be nice .. with special advanced air conditioning duct shielding so pesky x-wings can't blow it up.

Sounds good.

Wouldnt the Tie Defender be a good match up though, heavy assault fighter with both laser and ion cannon

Can you tell me where on their Facebook page you read this, as I cannot see to find it, I am most interested in seeing the replies it got there?

I seeing how both wave one was four ships, and wave two was as well, I am most interested in seeing what other two ships they would complement the B-wing and bomber with. I would love to see the Z-95 paired up with the V-wing, giving the rebels a cheaper swarm option, and giving the Imperials a fighter that can use Astromech droids.

Post Note: They need to do POD card expansions for the game as well at this point.

Not going to happen, old chap - they're being pretty careful to keep the models in scale.

Using a TIE model as a reference point, and the details held on Wookieepedia as source material, I established that the Death Star would need to be 1km in diameter to fit...

@RogueRegault - Again, using Wookieepedia as a source, the B-Wing isn't much bigger than the Y-Wing.

Y-Wing / B-Wing
Length: 16m / 16.9m
Width: 7.9m / 2.9m
Height/depth: 2.9m / 7.3m (with S-foils deployed, as we'd expect to see)

The length measurement for both ships is taken from Star Wars: Behind the Magic according to Wookieepedia's sourcing, so is consistent between the two ships.

The A-Wing already came out, right? And if not, how the hell not?

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Currently available ships:

Rebels:
X-Wing
Y-Wing
A-Wing
YT-1300

Imperials:
TIE Fighter
TIE Advanced
TIE Interceptor
Firespray-31

I'm not seeing the B-Wing announcement on the facebook page.

As for speculation on a Wave 3, I think B-Wing and TIE Bomber are absolute locks with a dual use Lambda Shuttle being released as well with cards for Imperial Shuttles and captured rebel versions like the Tydirium.

And then you'd need to have around 7000 assorted TIEs to go with the DS.

Like a much clearer, more concise version of Aeronautica Imperialis. Check it out at your local FLGS, it is a great game and can be played at many points values and with anywhere from two to unlimited number of players.

I hope the move into the EU Clone Wars era stuff eventually. I know I'm not on the same page as some of the more "hardcore" fans, but darn if I don't love the clone wars animated show.

7000? no problem. All we have to do is find the manufacturer in china that's making them, then we just have to sneak in in the dead of night and make off with the goods, then commandeer our own cargo ship. It's almost too easy!

TIE Defender, TIE Avenger (production model TIE Advanced), TIE Bomber, Z-95 Headhunter, R-41 Starchaser... and what else was around during this era... Assault Gunship, Assault Gunboat... T-wing. Lambda Shuttle, obviously. That’s probably about it.

They could do a TIE Shuttle I guess, but that’s not very exciting. “Oooh! I’m bringing my TIE shuttle! How intimidating!”.

Which was cancelled yesterday, if you didn’t already know.

I think the Outrider and Lambda Class shuttle should be the next big ships. Tie Bomber and B-wing are obvious fighter sized ships.

I think they should consider a number of ships used by both both faction but also ships not strictly faction specific... They could be Hutese or Blacksun or represent mercs or other bounty hunter types... The Virago and that class of ship are good example... The Z95 seems like another popular choice that might fit this.

The little number cards that slot in the base...yeah, those are going to need to go higher than what's currently available.

Star Wars detours is now in limbo too. When it comes to the clone wars I believe that Lucas film will still produce clone wars movies for blu ray. Right now most of their resources are being put into the production of EP VII.

Are they eventually going to expand into XJs and all that? Or are they going to stick with the one time period? All this means is that I have to hurry up and buy the starter set...

I'd like to see more Bounty Hunter / Smuggler / Pirate/ Independent type ships. It would be fun to be able to bring a fleet that's not really Imperial or Rebel.

That's why bringing the Z-95, R-41 and T-Wing in would be good, as lots of groups used those as they were older ships by the time X-Wings and the like started appearing.

Yeah, no cloud cars and snowspeeders, sadly. Maybe one day someone will finally make a decent Star Wars mini game where I can use snowspeeders. They're by far my favorite sw vehicle aside from the AT-AT.
