I am trying to find another good retailer to get a Forgefiend from and every retailer atm seems to be having trouble but the odd comment I find, people mention Dark Sphere and their pricing is really good but I would like to know have any of you guys ordered from them recently or in the past?

DS are good, London based and quite well stocked..

If you want a spread I would also recommend 4TK gaming and Gifts for Geeks.

I use Dark Sphere for most of my non-forgeworld purchases and have found them to be consistently good prices and good delivery times. Currently waiting on an order of paints that have been waiting over a week and still not dispatched but thats one minor blip on an otherwise great service that I'm willing to give them some time on. I also just placed another substantial order for kits I needed for conversion work and have faith I'll see them before I run out of holiday from work.

Have placed 6 or 7 orders, nothing but positive.

Have bought from them a few times. They're cheap and post really fast everytime. (at least to me..)

I know them personally and they are good people.

I was in London for a week's holiday in Summer 2011. I found out that my hotel was just up the road from them and called in to have a look.

I inquired about Lich Lord Scaberous and Alexi told me he'd be in stock the next day and he'd put one by for me if I wanted to have a look. I explained I was on holiday and didn't know if I'd be around the next day.

Called in the next night on the way back to the hotel to have a look and he had remembered and put one aside on the off chance I'd be about.

Been there once since and the staff were lovely and very helpful.

Not a bad word to say about them, they really are top notch.

They've been fairly slow on giving me a few despatch dates, but the two times that it's happened the stuff turned up the next day anyway; the same when they forgot to give me a tracking number.

Aside from that, they've been good.

More positive reviews boosts my confidence further. If my total wargamer order takes much longer, ill just cancel and re order through dark sphere as well.

Good people, good service, can't ask more.

I ordered some incorrect items (landspeeder storms instead of landspeeders) - they despatched the replacement immediately rather than waiting to get the returns back and offered to refund the return postage (which I turned down since it was totally my fault).

Can't really ask for better than that.

I ordered stuff on Thursday, and it arrived this morning. Very fast service, good prices and good stock levels.

AAWWWWW YISSSS just seen my forgefiend ready to dispatch, I dont think anyone understands the feels I am feeling right now, the past two companies have been garbage and I had to cancel, to finally see that ready to dispatch sign.

Just ordered some raptors as well. Definately think this is my now go to company, thanks guys.

Forgefiend and raptors (which I only ordered a couple hours before hand) were shipped today already! Brilliant!

Never ordered from them personally, but when i went on vacation to London for a week, I dropped by, the guys there were great and they had plenty of stock. I managed to pick up a knights model 70mm Boba Fett, which they don't even produce anymore So If shipping from the UK wasnt so pricey I'd give them more business in a heartbeat.

Any time I'm dispatched to London for work purposes, I make a point of popping in. Honestly, they have more GW stock than the average GW store, along with loads of other product lines too.

Used em twice, no issues.

Second one took about ten days, still not bad, and a bird who works there emailed me and apologised for the slight delay, they obviously have their gak squared away.

Happily glueing my plastic crack together.

The wait was really on Royal Mails behalf, Dark Sphere once they got the stock in was super fast.

Amazing little Aladdin's Cave, really wide range of stuff inside - I had to physically pull myself out of the shop after about 30 minutes as I could see my GF's tolerance to the obligatory stinky + shouty guy stood in the middle of the store was wearing thin

IIRC, most of the shops down that road could be considered low key small businesses. Despite being next to the London Eye and Waterloo, I don't think the footfall is that massive because everyone is either heading straight to the Eye/Houses of Parliament or going back to the station.

Hmm yes, looked it up on the VOA website - just off £20,000 a year for rates, which isn't too bad in the context of the British Government and local council's continuing war against the high street..

Triple helix wargames is another great retailer aswell, and probably the cheapest other than eBay

Only thing that's bugged me is they don't have the Tyranid Biovore up on their website to order. Strangely, I don't see it on any other discount sites either...

Is the Pyrovore finecast? I believe you cant get a few finecast items in other stores. Maybe its only available through GW.

Wasn't Darksphere one of the shops that stopped selling Finecast via mail order at one point, along with Wayland?

They sell the pyro, unmerciful, not the biovore though for some reason. Both are 'fine' cast. Doesn't seem anyone but GW stocks the biovore, so looks like I'll be using ebay.

Ah silly me. Funnily enough I tried to find a certain necron lord in finecast and couldnt find him online anywhere or certainly not in certain stores. Perhaps GW like to keep some models to themselves.

Perhaps Pacific's reason explains it, I think gifts for geeks also dont do finecast anymore do they?
