Hey guys, been working on this for a while, some similarities to my old one but it's all been overhauled.

There's no art or fluff yet, just spaces for them to go because I was more concerned with getting the rules reviewed than anything else at this point.

It's set up like any new 6th edition codex, unit descriptions and rules, then wargear and signature systems, then the army lists.

Major changes to the current codex include: A brand new Litanies system, tweaked Acts of faith, Brand new Warlord traits, tweaked unit costs and a few new units.
The codex also has the ability to make an 'Ecclesiarchy only' army that contains no Battle Sisters at all.

The Litanies system is a new way to add customization and character to your particular warlord and army. The warlord picks the Litany it chooses to Glory, 'Defiance, Focus, Speed and Marty.'
Then individual squads can chose to recite those Litanies for various effects through out the game.

'Defiant' gives the squad a +1 to the FIRST 'Deny the Witch' roll it has to make each turn.

None of them are super powerful and are reasonably costed so they won't have a massive impact on how the game is played, just gives individual squads slight boosts here and there.

One of the new units is actually an old unit, the Ecclesiarchy Redemption Militia squads because we all missed them deeply.

Anyway, here's the link, let me know what you guys think: http://anjetto.deviantart.com/art/Codex-Sisters-of-battle-6th-edition-376913355

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Comment the first:
Signature Systems are a Tau thing.
Like Eldar has Remnants of Glory, Chaos has Chaos Artefacts, etc.

Sisters of Battle would have Holy Relics or something similar.

Second... Not a big fan of the layout in the fore pages, though the latter.
Will comment more when I've had a better chance to sit down and read it thoroughly.

Fore pages?

Also yeah, I switched back and forth between calling them signature systems and the Reliquary but I should've been consistent.

Fore - the first, the fluff pages.
Personally, I'd combine them - giving each unit a page to itself, combining fluff and rules, none of this flicking back and forth nonsense!

I'm confused, each unit does have a page to itself including rules and fluff (Or fluff when I get around to writing that in)

I liked a lot of it, but gosh there are a lot of special rules for all your squad types!
Isn't the access to different wargear enough to differentiate the squads?

I have taken another look, and I think I mistook each squad's Litany thing for a general special rule that went with them.

I'm going to be honest..... I LOVE IT! My fav part is the executor flame tank. I will be trialing this next weekend at my FLGS. However i think if you are having Enforcers you may want to include a repressor/chimera transport. Personally i would like to see a ordo hereticus inquisitor added as the way to make enforcer troops rather than have them as a battle conclave. Give a higher range of weapons e.g. boltguns, shotguns, grenade launcher, lasguns etc, this would allow a range of modelling options and allow people to use their necromunda enforcers . I would also change the enforcers name to something more generic so they can be modeled in a variety of ways that way players can field anything from an arbite group to a storm trooper unit.

Although i an boycotting them; 2+ save and a flier units may need to be added to make it a top tier codex (you have know how idea how dirty i feel saying that ), i had an idea of a name for the flyer "Chantry bomber/fighter" maybe? Sisters of silence would work having anointed armour, after all they do look rather flash in the artwork .

Also a final note, you may already have it included; but from my days of playing 54mm Inquisitor i always remember Hexagramic and Pentagramic wards; it would be nice if you added something like that to mess up psykers as they seem to be all the rage at the moment e.g. they roll 3d6 for psychic tests within 12" or suffer not the witch on 3+ when unit targeted?

Just my little bit of input

Thanks for the input. Also, I'd really like to see how this plays with other people so let me know when you have feed back!

I'm concerned about adding the Forge World units, its why I didn't include the Avenger. The issue is that the Sisters don't have a fleet or an Air Force so I may have to rely on it. It's an odd issue.

Sisters fluff has changed so much its hard to say who they really work for. 2nd edition, Ecclesiarchy, 3rd Edition, the Inquisition, 5th Edition, back to the Ecclesiarchy again. Lol. I'd like to keep them as an Ecclesiarchy force though.

I was actually thinking about adding in the Chimera, I wasn't sure how I felt about it though.

The Enforcer thing is a good idea. I limited them two 3 special weapons. I suppose I could give them a bigger range of weapons to choose from and then still limit the special ones.

Give them the options for bolters, shotguns and then some get better ones.

I was concerned with giving them too many anti-psyker options. (Funny, I know.) Adamantium will on all the squads (Potentially). Some Litanies giving advantages and Anointed armour giving + 1 and a Re-roll.

Plus the Aether platform is awesome. Sisters of Silence with a Null Maiden I think are pretty gruesome

The wards are a good idea but Psychic hoods and Runes of warding have been nerfed so hard that I'm not sure an 'area of effect' power is appropriate anymore.

So, I think expanding the Enforcer/arbite to more than just those three basic weapons is a good idea. However, now that I look at it, I think 15 points each is a little high for what they're equipped with.

How does 10pts each sound, Autogun, Auto pistol, Carapace armour and several weapon options from there?

A Custode is basically a Super-Marine and fair god of 1vs1 combat, equipped with Power Halberds, Storm Bolters, Power Armour, etc.

Do you mean an Arbite? Which are basically the 'police' and Guardsman-ish? (Carapace armour, Power Mauls, Shotgun/Lasgun/Boltgun base weapons?)

The Sisters never worked for the inquisition, but they have always on some level worked with the Inquisition.

Okay, the 5th ed codex says that they're firmly back with the Ecclesiarchy now. It's why I'm having issue with adding in inquisitors to it. I think adding in the option for Enforcers/Arbites would be a good middle ground.

It makes about as much sense as Stormtroopers in the Guard book, plus Arbites use Rhinos and Repressors too - although they also use Razorbacks, which means three extra unit entries at least (HQ, Judge squad, Razorback).

According to some fluff a regiments first company are storm troopers, like a SM chapters first company are sternguard/vanguard vets. Personally I like this explanation as to why their are lots of storm troopers but only one regiment of them.

And heck you can't even get your own jollies off without Slaanesh giggling and farting out some daemons. And if you manage to avoid all that, some genestealers might infiltrate your planet and bring a hive fleet crashing down on you any way.

The last fluff I read was that a Storm trooper squad got taken from the guard to work for the inquisition then, when they took too many casualties they got palmed back onto the guard.

I think giving a unit entry just to Arbites would be too much. Maybe, I'm not sure, it could be cool though. But that would require a new HQ unit and possibly a new Troop unit too.

Would it make sense to give Enforcers/arbites a full entry and not just a fluff piece that can be used to model arbites?

Under the Generating Faith description you made a small but significant error in the mathing it out section. For every 750 points you gain another 1D3 Faith Points per turn and i think thats an awesome idea but the explaination is:

(I.E If 1500 points of an army is taken up
by Sisters of Battle they generate 2D3 acts
of Faith every turn. At 1750, they gain 3D3)

If sure its just a typo but I wanted to bring it to your attention

I really like the concept and there are some nice idea within that codex =)

Also, just a quick proposition about an idea I had when reading a battle report with Sisters, where a Mistress of repentance sacrificed herself in a duel to save her squad. I don't know if it would be too strong or not, but that might give an interesting twist to the Repentia.
"Each repentia may counts as an Independant Character for the challenge rules (and only for the challenge)". I suppose that ability might boost their cost point a little... but that would create a rather unique kind of tarpit. I won't upset if it gets rejected, I'm just putting it here in case it give other ideas to other people.

Also, about the warlord traits, isn't 'soul blaze' the ability that everybody hate keeping track of? (Roll to see if the fire on the unit dies and see if it wounds it after that). If it is the case, might I suggest to replace it for something a little more simple?
"Add a bonus faith point each time the faith is generated (as long the warlord is alive?)" would be nice.

Anyway, Great work, I hope to see a more finalized version! =)

@Rohansoldier I reuploaded it, hopefully you can access it now.

@Farseer14 The math wasn't wrong, the explanation was. What I should've said is that for every 750 points OR PART THERE OF taken up by a Sisters of battle army they generate 1D3 Faithpoints.

@Static-cat I like the repentia thing, I think making all of them characters would be far too strong. However, giving them the option to accept a challange would be cool. I'd like to work that in somehow...

I think soul blaze is the best way to show that they burn things. lol

Thanks again.

I gave the cannoness extra skills. Like the d3 units gaining special rules. Plus faithful and the like. Do you still think shes too expensive?
