So, I was just curious about what Imperial Guard regiment you would want to see as a new plastic release? It isent a poll because I'm not very good at IG and dont know many of the regiments.. Anyways, Personally, If they did Steel Legion as plastics I'd have to gat IG allies for one of my armies.. XD Love the gasmasks and long coats..

I'm a big fan of almost all of the old metal ranges. If GW were to do a new plastic regiment, I think I'd prefer a completely new one. Diversity is great, and I'd prefer to see more of the inhabitants of the 'Imperium of a million worlds' than an update.

Besides, the transition from metal to plastic didn't work well for the Catachans – and arguably the Cadians.

If I were forced to pick one, I'd go with Vostroyans. With their mix of archaic equipment, gothic-punk styling and weird quirky bits, they really capture the spirit and atmosphere of the game for me.

God damn,
Vostroyan, or a full Tallarn Raiders line. Wanted to start them up, but the FW line is a sniper team and a couple of weird... diplodocus... things.

Valhallans and Steel Legion, possibly both (trenchcoats and WWII webbing just swap the gas mask for an ushanka)

I'd rather see a recut of the existing Cadians than a new regiment, since that mold is either in really bad shape or was never made right to begin with. Every box of plastic Cadians has awful mold line issues and huge amounts of flash.

But if I had to choose a new regiment, I think I'd go with Valhallans.

Tallarn if they could make them similar to FWs quality/size proportions.

Guess most people would love to see a Greatcoat sprue with alternative heads, e.g. DKoK and Valhalla.

I'd like to see the Cadians redone so that they don't look as stupid (would it kill ya for some normal looking faces GW?), and so the mold is refreshed.

But, new regiment wise, I would like to see maybe some generic Greatcoats/Trenchcoats. Include a sprue that can give you DKoK, Valhallans, and Steel Legion to knock 3 off right there. But those most likely would be upgrade sprues.

Maybe something completely new like, I don't know one based off of Space Station fighters? I mean we hear of boarding actions but no one specialized in it except maybe some navy puke who might have fight training on top of technical training.

If GW did Mordian Iron Guard in plastic, there is a very strong chance I would start a Mordian army.

Likewise, plus throw in a headswap & you could do Praetorians!

Dream kit, old style Cadians. Completely scrap the newer style one with their football pads if you have to, the look like garbage anyways.

More likely dream kit, Valhallan/Steel legion hybrid kit with greatcoats. Just have enough heads for a full squad of both and maybe a few generic heads that could work for both and it would be amazing (and for those who don't thing GW could pull it off, check out GW's Ork kits sometime.) Maybe make some fur liner bits to go on the coats for the ValhallanS to help make them not look like basic headswaps

Bring the Cadians in line with Modern Military uniforms. Knee pads, webbing, optional backpacks, and throw the Heavy weapon choices on the sprue so you can make a FULL squad that includes a Heavy Weapon.

OR--

A plastic Veterans squad...with carapace armor and Hotshot lasguns...that would be cool.

I'd love a great coat kit and a dress uniform kit for the Valhallans/Steel Legion and the Mordians/Praetorians.

I like the idea of a great coat model with different heads. If they ever come out with Valhallans, DKoK or Vostroyans, I will switch my Guard over in an instant. My Guard go with snow camo and are from an Ice World, so the Cadian models don't really fit. The main reason I've never expanded my army beyond Mech Guard.

Steel Legion look the most '40k' to me. They would be my choice for an iconic IG regiment (Cadians don't really look the part IMO, and Catachans are too specialised).

I likeVostroyans, Tallarn and Valhallans a lot as regiments but the latter two are more 'specialised' looking and I don't think plastic and quite do Vostroyans justice, and they still are less '40k iconic' looking than Steel Legion IMO.

Assuming no kits doubling up over FW models, Cadian redesign as mentioned above, modernised with male and female minis and less "heroic" scale issues. Lacking that, Steel Legion are nice, or a completely new regiment. Whichever it is, sprue density and quality along the lines of Dreamforge Stormtroopers.

A great coat sprue could cover vostroyans, valahhan, dkod and steel legion whilst a dress uniform one could cover mordians and patorians. either would be cool

Once more down to the beach, dear friends, once more,
To drown our sorrows with our English beer!
In peace there's nothing so becomes a man
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of alcohol blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, summon up the blood.
