Forgive me if this thread has been done, I searched a bit but came up empty.

I was curious about the demographics of what armies are owned. People are always claiming what is played the most and so on. I think a nice slice of statistical pie would be tasty.

You should add 'other' to the list; I play Armored Battlegroup and have probably 25,000 points of it. I cannot, however, field a legal list out of Codex: Imperial Guard easily.

Main army is Sisters followed by Eldar. My first army was Harlequins in the days of 2nd Edition.
Also play many other systems such as Warmachine and Bolt Action.

Quite surprised that despite all the comments Sisters are not significantly lower in numbers than many other armies. Guess people are not using the army much due to lack of options and difficulty in getting hold of the codex.

Imperial Guard (technically a functional army, but too short on vehicles or heavy weapons to be anywhere near effective).
Space Marines (Pedro Kantor, a Dreadnought, a Land Raider Crusader, two Bikers and an Attack Bike).

I have lots of Orks, and enough Tyranids & Necrons for a 2K army. I can probably scrape 2K of Space Wolves too.

I have a handful of models for Space Marines and Chaos Space Marines but not what I would call an army.
