If you do, here's my new album, sort of a Rage against the machine meets Meshuggah type thing. I have never been able to pin down what 40k players collectively like, so no worries if you hate it but I figured I would share. Songs are generally about Conan the Barbarian, The Thing and fat people.
Almost any kind of metal, aside from most screamo, is good for me. But I also like punk, grunge, hard rock and Nat King Cole.

I'm putting this in the, "Why Alf and Cincy don't get along" list It's right under "Is a Cincinnatian", there are other things, but they all stem from you being from the nasty 'nati (Bengals fan, Reds Fan, etc...)

I'll listen to the album this evening. Having said that, I like to think of myself as having broad music tastes. I'll generally steer clear of rap, but that's about it. I do have a preference for metal/hard rock, though.

Band sounds pretty good. And thanks having good quality sound and not making it sound like a cheapy demo
Metal is all I can stand. Everything else kind of annoys me. I usually prefer the late 80's early 90's thrashy stuff though. My car stereo only has 3 stations programmed on it. Sirius's Liquid Metal, Ozzy's Boneyard and when all else fails I sometimes have to turn to Octane.

I was replying to the topic. However, I am listening to the album now(I couldn't earlier, I was at school and did not have enough time or headphones) and it's pretty great. It very much appeals to my metal side. Thanks for the music, bro.

For some reason I can't stand listening to metal, but I have a heckuva a lotta fun playing it on my bass. I mostly listen to indie/alt-rock, hard rock ala The Dead Weather, and a good dose of retro stuff like the Smiths and Joy Division. Also, you can't go wrong with classical choral music, or just classical music in general*.

*That is, classical music that isn't Modernist atonal/12-tone conceptualism. That stuff, while admirable for bending the rules of music theory to the breaking point, is totally unlistenable and just puts my teeth on edge. Given the choice between that brand of classical music and metal, I'd choose metal.

Hey thanks to everyone for listening and feedback, good or bad. I've done 100% of it from start to finish so its been a labor of love, so to speak.
I tend to enjoy writing this kind of music mostly, but I definitely dont listen to metal as much as other genres.
I dont think the Hive Mind would necessarily use Trip hop, but I find the hilarity that it is either a huge jazz snob or perhaps into Highwayman era country music more appealing. It'd be a pretty big bummer to know your planet was being consumed to a soundtrack of Cash and Willie Nelson.
I listen to power/prog/neo-classical/symphonic and some heavy and thrash, and I pretty much can't stand screamo or growling. My favorite Conan themed band is Crom, and if you don't listen, then to hell with you!

Well... I am not quite sure, but in my eyes this thread is quickly degenerating into an abomination that must be purged with fire.
Not necessarily a bad thing.
