Hi guys

I run the War & Peace Games Club in Sandiacre, Nottingham UK and we have launched a KS for new 8x4 tables plus terrain. As rewards for helping fund this, we are hosting a Weekend Launch Party in March 2014, as well as hosting monthly tournaments for a range of game systems starting April 2014.

We've added a new pledge level for the gamer who wants a bit of everything: THE ULTIMATE SUPPORTER - £125

* 1 Years membership
* Entry to the Weekend Launch Party
* Entry to FOUR tournaments
* 10 Club Dice
* 1 Club shirt
* Signed Supporter Poster

There is also a similar pledge level for anyone oversees, or a long distance from the Club and can't physically get there but with 2 years membership (and all the benefts that entails) and no event tickets.

I am extremely interested in how this turns out. I have a good friend who has considered doing similarly, and it's well known that a lot of the local gamers would support the project... hope this achieves what you're setting out for it to do!

Thanks RiTides. Don;t forget, anyone can support this - even if across the pond - by choosing a membership option. This not only helps fund the campaign and then help support the club if a monthly membership is chosen, but gives the backer some discount codes to use with hobby retailers such as Mantic, Warbases On The Lamb and more, plus up to 20% discount in the Clubs Armoury (with postage added of course).

Anyway, thanks for the support - please leave any comments here on the preview page - and help spread the word.

Cheers

I've just received the KS video back from the editors and am very pleased. Okay, it won't win any Oscars but it works. After some great feedback already I'll be making a few minor tweaks to the campaign (adding a few more visuals, explaining some of the stretch goals clearer) and then tomorrow it all goes off to KS HQ for final approval. Hopefully we'll be able to launch this on November 9th for 21 days.

Cheers for the support.

Well this is an interesting Kickstarter project. See, this is the kind of Kickstarter I think we should, as a community, be focusing on and paying attention to. I hope you guys do well and are able to get a ton of nice tables set up.

Thanks guys. We're off to an amazing start with nearly 25% of our goal already funded. I'll be posting an update later with some background to the Club and our plans for the Weekend Launch Party and tournaments.

We start day 2 with 29% raised which is truly amazing, thanks everyone. I expect things will be slow today with AvP now live, but we're confident we will still make small steps towards our modest goal. Especially with your help.

Please share the link with your wargaming buddies so we don't drown in the noise of larger wargames companies projects (which we back btw)

Cheers

Seems dice are proving popular with our oversees friends. A lot of people have messaged wanting to know if we can do anything better with the Club dice. I've taken a look and think I've come up with a couple of good offers:

# 1 The Promo Package

I've added a new pledge level. For £50 you can now get a Club T-shirt and 25 Club Dice, sent anywhere in the world with FREE shipping. I've had to limit this to 20 pledges, but if it proves very popular and runs out I will add another level for £51 and so on.

# 2 Dice Add-Ons

For people just wanting to buy lots of dice I've changed the add-on details. You can now buy either:

5 Dice for £5 + shipping
10 Dice for £8 + shipping
20 Dice for £17 + FREE shipping

Saturday Special

In an effort to give the campaign a bit of a boost, for every £100 barrier we break through starting with £300, every backer who has Dice already included in their pledge level, will have an extra 5 added for FREE.

For example, if you have pledged for the Promo Package you will automatically get 25 dice. If we hit £300 today you will get 30 dice. If we hit £500 today you will get 40 dice.

This special offer will end today at 23:59 GMT so pledge for your dice and get the word out there.

Cheers

Good morning everyone!

Where to begin... well, we start day four on a whopping 41% of our goal of £800. I had estimated we would be at 10% by now so I am staggered by the amazing response we have had, especially with so many exciting projects currently running, or coming to a close at this time. This is down to you guys helping get the word out - overnight the video has had another 24 views, amazing.

There's a few things changed or tweaked so I thought I'd take a moment to explain them as well as let you know about the Saturday Special.

PLEDGE LEVEL SUMMARY

I've tweaked the section on Pledge Levels on the main page making it easier to read and understand just what you're getting for your pledge.
NEW TAPE MEASURE ADD-ON

People are asking for more physical add-ons, so I've created a few new ones, the first being that stalwart of every gamer's arsenal - the trusty tape measure.

You can now add one of these to your pledge for £9. Simply raise your pledge amount in the pledge manager, and then when the survey comes out tick the relevant box.

What other kinds of add-ons would you like? Mouse Matts, USB drives and Can Coolers? Let us know in the comments section.

We've simplified the shipping for this project. After crunching the numbers, we've decided on the following:

PHYSICAL REWARDS UK: Dice, T-Shirts and any other physical rewards will be posted FREE to all UK backers.

PHYSICAL REWARDS REST OF THE WORLD:

If your pledge value is LESS than £50 please ADD £8 for postage.
If your pledge value is MORE than £50, shipping is FREE

I think that is a better deal for people across the pond, as it means they can get more stuff sent to them without massive postage costs being incurred by us.
SATURDAY SPECIAL RESULT

As we broke through the £300 barrier yesterday, anyone who has ALREADY Pledged for Levels that include Dice as a reward (Promo Package / Club Supporter / Ultimate Supporter) will get an extra 5 Dice added as a thank you.

MOVING FORWARD

We are so close to hitting the milestone of 50% and we need your help to make it happen. Please keep putting the word out, telling all your gaming communities about our project and if we can get another £66 pledged today we will achieve this goal.

Thank you for your support.

We start today on 43% so a big thank you to everyone who has pledged so far or shared our links. We've added some cool pledge levels for anyone a distance from the Club who can't physically attend but wants to help support the Club anyway.

£50 gets you a t-shirt and 25 Dice plus a signed copy of the Supporter Poster with every backers name on it.

We've also added a tape measure with the club logo on which you can add for £9. Even better, if your pledge level is £50 or more with physical add ons, it has FREE shipping anywhere.

So please help us out either by pledging or sharing the link in your gaming social media.

Finally remembered to check this out, and put in a small pledge for now. If you need it at the end I can probably up it a bit to help out

Like I said, I showed this to my friend and he was very interested in the idea, I think it is a great use of Kickstarter to fund terrain tables for use at a store / tournaments / etc.

Will do, although for myself I've just put in 10 pounds for now as I don't need any of the rewards (got dice out my ears already, and I'd rather put the shipping cost towards chipping in to you guys). Might be nice to have a lower reward that international backers might want to help out with, since below the membership ones there's just the 2-pound level.

I just like the idea and am willing to chip in a little for just the "thank you / name on banner " which the thought of is kind of cool but just thought I'd mention there doesn't seem to be an easy $20 - $50 level for international folks to chip in with.

We figured the Promo Package £50 with dice and shirt would be the best choice for oversees backers as it ships free, is a nice price and gives the backer some physicalnstuff for supporting us.

What would you suggest as a reward for say £30 for oversees backers?

Best of luck to you guys! If you need the boost the last couple days I'll up my pledge a little too. I may add a few dice anyway. Is there a way to add the poster to our pledge? I was thinking that it might be a novel thing to hang in my man cave.

Do you need to add 8 pounds to ship the poster if just getting it? I.e. how much would one need to pledge to just get it. And maybe I missed it, was there a pic of it somewhere?

Made in gb
Basecoated Black

Nottingham, UK

For any physical rewards under £50 you would need to add £8 -. So a poster on it's own would be £18

There's no pic as it will be a poster of the finished tables with terrain and club members plus names. As soon as I can do a mock up I will

79% FUNDED and two weeks to go...

We're at the halfway mark, hitting the mid-campaign slump but we are in a really strong position. Kicktraq has us trending towards finishing on £1200 which would mean we hit the demo table and tournament launch Party stretch goals.

To help us hit this we've added some special add-ons including having games tables affixed with a plaque engraved with your name and what you want to call your table - be immortalised at the Club forever!

Thanks for all your support

#SaveTheDay - to celebrate Doctor Who hitting 50years, if we hit 100% by the end of the special episode tonight, every backer will get a free copy of the Doctor Who Miniatures Game rulebook on pdf.
