So now that C:INQ has been dropped, I was wondering what everyone's Inquisitor's name is (or are, if you have multiple). I have come up with:

Antonious Crassus, Ordo Xenos with an unhealthy obsession with Xenos technology. Is never seen without his power armor.

Inquisitor Dorian Jaeger, radical member of the Ordo Xenos, collector of Xenos artefacts and not afraid of flashing his rosette. I like to think he has some sort of Tyranid limb as a sword and some stolen Tau tech pistol. Possibly armour incorporating Necrodermis, but that got a bit Mary Sue, so I decided that he's thoroughly mental and borderline heretical, plagued by guilty nightmares, and quite close to death.

Psyker who looked into the warp for answers to the Imperium's witch problems, got possessed by a Khorne Herald leading to a full-scale daemonic incursion.

I run two, on occasion. The first Inquisitor is Maxvell Psychoticus. He's a raving lunatic who's been f-ed in the head from years of exposure to his twin daemonblades. His friend and colleague from the Ordo Xenos (actually hanging around waiting to put a bullet in his head if he goes too ballistic) is Inquisitor Corsetta Malevolynne.

Hmm, there seems to be a lot more radicals than puritans out here. Demon Weapons, xenos tech, witchcraft... It's almost as if the inquisition consider heresy kind of fun...

Inquisitor Jakhar Mance - a Recongregator ordo xenos inquisitor with a particular interest in long-dead races. He's often found poking around the edges of the Calixis sector, ferreting out things probably best left undisturbed. He is also, at least at first glance, a cackling lunatic - his personal vessel goes by the name of Unknown Causes, just so he can giggle at casualty reports.

Inquisitor Janos Nox, An Amalathian of the Ordo Xenos. Believes he can find a way to install prolonged life by studying the parasitic Vampyrs found in the Ghoul Stars. His dream is to stall himself with eternal life, so he can maintain the Imperiums safety for all time.

Wow, I am going to have to work on a back story for Elias Lucifer now, you guys have some really cool inquisitors.

Spent way too much time with the 5th Siege Regiment.

I have yet to build him, or read the Inquisitorial book for wargear and whatnot, but I've got plan for that guy.

The take-away I got from Dan Abnett's novels is that a mediocre Inquisitor will never deviate from the Puritan stance. A good Inquisitor will even accomplish something that way. A great Inquisitor knows when to compromise his own code to achieve a greater end. A truly great Inquisitor will train his own proteges well enough that they can destroy him when he eventually goes so far that he can't see what a monster he's become.

Is the following set up possible for an Inquisitor?

Hellrifle, plasma pistol, power sword, artificer armor.

There are three.
First and foremost we have Inquisitor Ximénez.
Next in line is Inquisitor Biggles.
And finally, last and least, Inquisitor Fang.

Great point. I NEED to read the Abnett inquisition books at some point.

I don't think so, as I think you can only swap the two weapons he comes with, so you could have any 2 of the rifle, pistol and sword. They also can't get artificer armour, only Carapace or PA (TDA as well but only for malleus). Really, I think the Inquisitor options are actually far more restrictive than they should be.

TDA it is then, since my Inq's supposed to be a Malleus Inquisitor left to overwatch the regiment after it fought on Vraks, see if there's any Daemon related taint (hellrifle not withstanding )

I'll have to grab a copy of the book then.

Plot twist: The latter inquisitor is actually a dog in Inquisitorial gear

I think the rifle is actually ordo Xenos, so you'll have to choose whether you want the TDA or the rifle. As I say, the options are really poorly done in my opinion. These guys can requisition anything they want from anyone who has it, and yet only a third of them can get 2+ armour and none can get an invuln outside of TDA!
