What's your favourite HQ in your entire 40K collection and why? For me it's a draw between my Chaplain and EC.

My Blood Angel Reclusiarch in terminator armor, That guy is a true badass!

Either my Salamander Captain for his battle experience (only HQ I've ever used against someone else) or my Daemon Prince for being my first attempt at a conversion (and not giving me grief during the conversion so far).

Hands down, biker Warboss. S10, T6, W3, 4+ save, 4+ cover save, 5+ FNP (when riding with his biker nob buddies), TL S5, AP 5 assault 3 shooting. He pretty much is a complete boss, just like he should be.

Pretty cool conversion too if I might toot my own horn for a bit.

My Typhus will probably always be my favorite

I use a Black Ark commander as Duke Sliscus. That's my favorite.

Tau FW Commander Ralai - its just an awesome looking model.

While he may not really be worth his points, I field him in every apoc game I can, just because I love playing games with him.

Since I got him painted - I'm a huge fan of Marneus Calgar. Such a great model and AMAZING rules... just pretty pricey points wise.

She's brutal... gives her entire unit re-rolls to hit, forces you to accept challenges with who I want, striking at I7 with a bunch of str 5 AP2 attacks... glorious

She's only ever disappointing me in one game, but that's because Tau overwatch is brutal against T3 models...

I like Crowe, don't use him but I had fun paintimg him.

A Necron Overlord from the Annihilation Barge kit.

Not only did I model him to look really cool, but he has performed amazingly on the tabletop. He has never fallen in battle even once, and has personally killed several of my friend's warlords. He is public enemy number 1 amongst my buddies.

My Terminator Chaos Lord with PF+LC combo. Even my friends think that he's a badass.

St. Celestine with converted wings. She's the BOSS in more than one way.

2nd place goes to my Master of the Forge with his conversion Beamer. I love using that big 50's ray gun.

Either my version of Captain Fabian, or Chaplain Cassius. Probably Cassius, guys a wrecking ball.

My MoT Black Legion Chaos Lord with Jump Pack and a ton of artefacts. He has a 3+ invulnerable save, rerolling ones, and hits like a Daemon Prince. No smash attacks, but I can live with that.

Favourite model/fluff: My IG DKOK Commissar model, it just oozes coolness.

Favourite conversion: GK Crowe, extensively converted from a snap-fit tactical marine and still looks natural. Probably one of the conversions I'm most proud of.

Favourite in-game: SM captain with Teeth of Terra, Primarch's wrath and Armour Indomitus. 220ish points of shooty choppy goodness.

I like my Swarmlord. Mostly because he is a finecast hive tyrant, which only existed for like 6 weeks before the plastic kit came out. Only thing I changed was that I used the new plastic sabers when I built my 2nd flyrant.

I love Kharn. He's a very beautiful model... At least he was in pewter! I don't see myself buying him again in finecast, although I'm sure the cast would be slightly better.

The guy in the middle. Although I do love all my chaplains.

Edit for some of my reasons:
Of all the SM HQs, chaplains embody the heart and spirit of the army. Of the whole setting really. They are transhuman zealots, chanting prayers and litanies as they carve a bloody swath through the foes of imperium. The other HQ choices are more no-nonsense, getting the job done, kinda guys. No flair.

Of my chaplains, I love the sculpt of the guy with the jump pack. The half-bionic face, the detail, etc. One of my better paint jobs as well. Since I took this picture, I've added some magnets to the backpack and BP arm so I can field him as Cassius (on foot with a combi flamer) But he has spent most of his career with the pack, leading a squad of assault marines to victory. In 3rd ed he was my go-to HQ. Replaced in 4th by a captain, and 5th with a librarian. From his dusty reclusium during the dark years he always fixed me with a steely glare as I took another HQ to lead my forces. "Take me" he called "We might not win the day, but our death will be GLORIOUS!" It's hard to argue with that, so I still found room for him in my lists from time to time.

Pity he's finecast (he's been gradually lying down) i love the model and rules.

I plan to make Shas'O Sam'O'Sar (contains my name and a foodstuff in a Tau like way). He'll likely be my favorite in the future.

Skulltaker is just fresh out of the THF bath, so all the painting is still in front of me (glueing too, come to think of it) but I really like the model. May be the first metal miniature I actually like. We'll see how it will work.

It's A toughy, as different models have different appeals. If I were going for aesthetically pleasing I'd have to go with Ahriman, but it's it's just an all round cool model Kharn would get my vote.

My Ork bosses tend to be underwhelming so ill have to say my Librarian because of the sheer number of times he has made up for the points spent on him by mincing my opponents units.

Tough decision...
I love my Reclusiarch and Eldar Farseer, but the winner must be my winged BA Librarian.

Definitely my "warboss Boardom." A warboss on bike, who has killed so much. Hes also been my leader in 2 campaigns, swept riptides, and killed more tanks than anything else.
