Decided to add the main single chunk to the top post:

======================================================================================================
Consolidating my KD stuff... hit my stride a few posts down with my second Twilight Knight.

Super-excited about KD, with some thoughts on the matter as usual.

So, the first of many:

Thanks! Yeah, I love working with atmosphere, and the built-in impetus for OSL is really letting me go to town!

Next up, the starting set (notes, including a bunch of mini-reports)

Thanks, all!

youidiotkid, yeah, I'm starting to feel like the regular models are a hit way more than the first few scantily clad ladies I painted.

I'm still experimenting with this new way of coloring, so don't have anything like a tutorial together, but I'll definitely try to down the line.

The very basic version is, like everything I paint, I start with the midtone (skin color) then blend the middle to the shadow, then the middle to the highlight. the shadow is blue-grey, and the highlight is orange, with yellow and white extremes.

Finished a Savior just in time for her game debut. (Notes, including continuing battle reports)

Hi, sorry, realized a decent amount of my document was weird: We'd started thinking of settlement as the end of each year, rather than the beginning of it (probably because the first year has no hunt), so a lot of our notation was off.

The end of the fourth year (the fifth fight) is correct. We fought ours between the third and fourth years (our fourth fight), which we mistakenly noted down as our fourth year. I'll need to correct that.

Edit: corrected the blog. I think everything's right now. Realized that it was a combination of aforementioned hunt thing and that you check off a year when you get to it, not when you complete it.

Yeah... we barely got out of that one.

We're in the middle of a King's Man fight, and man is that guy terrifying. Right now, it seems like the people are tougher than the animals.

Also, we're getting bandages before we consider going up against a level 2 butcher... hope it doesn't have anything awful like more bleeding tokens.

Ouch, that's rough on level 2...

And yeah, grass is everyone's best friend. It's fantastic when you draw two pairs. We'd prioritized monster grease last time, but this run we've been drawing really poorly on organs...

The Messenger of the First Story, a pretty obvious reference. I had a lot of fun with the pair of lighting effects. (Notes/a new campaign)

Thanks! Yeah, was pretty tricky trying to get the opposed lighting.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Quite proud of this guy, snagged first in category for the paint job. He's pretty huge, though, so zooming's probably in order. My blog post has a full-res shot of the beast, and dakka's gallery does, though you can't see it all at once there...

My weird White Speaker... still not sure if we'll be using the strange model as a survivor or it's just a prop since the rules are just for an event. (notes incl. a new settlement)

Draconic, I start with regular colors, then blend to dark and light, mixing the hues towards the extremes as I go. I'm working on getting a tutorial together, hope to be done with it maybe next week.

So, I pulled together a guide to how I approach OSL.

Also, a couple more minis:

Draconic, thanks, yeah, I really liked working with the orange light/purple shadow.

mazik, hehe, fair 'nuff. The multipose kits take some work, but I find the monopose ones super rewarding to put the time in to.

A nice couple today, with usual notes.
