Really good stuff! I especially like the blue corrugated iron or whatever it is, the colour really stands out and adds to the effect. I also like the amount of narrative you have put into each building, each had a specific purpose or resident.

Thanks for all the comments.
Let me start with the tutorial/ wip of how i build my buildings.
I start with a pre-cut mdf square all the squares i use are 6"/ 15cm. On which i draw some lines, where i want the building to be and it's basic shape.
Then i grab my trusty currogated cardboard and make the building. Glue all the pieces in it's place and put some tape over the open sides of the cardboard.
For this building i wanted it to be the home of a gunsmith/tinkerer. I added a left over piece of sprue.
And put a piece of plasticcard on it.
Next will be the "texturing/dressing" of the bare cardboard

Cool - will be watching this with interest as I've never been able to make that type of card look good on scratch built buildings.
I recently started eating continental style biscuits - the round ones with a chocolate filling between each two. The packaging is a sheet of one-sided corrugated paper (the other side being flat) - great for wriggly tin! + only £1 & you get a bunch of lovely biscuits for free!

It's been a while...so it's catch up time.
So here are some of the materials i used for the texturing.
Some ribbed card, plasticcard, granny grating and the yellowish grating is from a plastic basket.
And a roll of bandage for the netting.
Also some popsicle sticks.
The bandage is pulled apart/stressed and dipped in some woodglue. I place it on the spot i want and "sculpt" it into the position a want with a slightly wet brush.
The popsicle sticks are cut to the lenght i want and i use an old dart-arrow (any sharp tool will do), to cut some grooves/lines into them.
The plasticcard, grating and ribbed card are randomly applied, just do what looks/feels good.
Also i made a table from plasticcard, put some old lighter parts on top and cut out some granny grating to be placed around the base.
Which will be placed unerneath the overhang.
More to follow. Automatically Appended Next Post: Next batch of pictures.
I put a small circle on the door for a window (made from a ring which comes with a tube of superglue) and added a handle made from a staple.
Put the basing on and added 2 more leftover lighter parts to the floor.
Snapped a staple in 2, attached it to the wall and hung some metal wire from it.
(the table in the back of the picture is still removable for easier painting.
After the black basecoat a layer of dark brown is applied.
And a lighter brown mixed with some orange is dabbed on next. (leave some darker patches visible).
The blue color is roughly painted on and you can add more orange to add even lighter patches if wanted/needed.
I painted the door white and while the paint is still wet i added a Citadel Shade "Agrax Earthshade" to it.
When dried, i took some fine sandpaper and "stressed" some area's lightly and added some rust color to it.
Paint the wood any color you want and when dried add a darker wash to fill out the grooves.
(wash not yet added in this picture).
After the wash on the wood had dried, i drybrushed the wood with a light mix of brown and painted the netting green.
More to follow.

Excellent work there. Love the rust effect!
Think I'd have introduced some more 'original coloured' parts to the buildings though, to suggest a continual development, repair and extension to the buildings. At the moment it looks like everything was built in the same (short) time period and so aged/deteriorated at an equal rate.

Your terrain is ace mate, very evocative and your rust effects are fantastic!
I think my favourite piece is the 2 old rusted out cars, left so long it looks like the wastes are trying to reclaim them.

I had to make some buildings that where taller than the ones i had previously made. You want some vantage points for sniper classes and for the sheer joy of jumping from building to building.
This building is my favorite building i have made sofar.
This angle of the building i like most, but i am still contemplating of placing some kind of barrier between the two poles for a line of sight barrier.
Take care.
PS. I'll do a groupshot in the near future.

Love the window box and windows on the 2nd floor.
Gives the building an extra dimension I feel it needs to take away from an entirely boxy look
Full of inspiration and win Automatically Appended Next Post: Would love to see more non-building scenery.
The notice board, and billboard are great and I feel add a whole bunch of character to the set.
