Friend of mine who works with GW on a project said that what he keeps hearing is there is a lot of inertia against doing Sisters because they don't sell.

I can confirm that French forums (as in, those in France, nothing my side of the Atlantic) were over the moon extatic about Raging Heroes. They were the best thing since sliced bread/the second coming of Christ/Johnny Halliday all rolled into one.

At the same time, there was some serious hate towards English forums such as Dakka and TMP. We were just mean trolls out to tarnish their reputation and some such.

After having seen a guy's army on Devianart, I gotta say I am less than impressed by the overall look of the minis. The jailbirds troops have some serious hip-ratio problems, and those that have their legs akimbo are the worse offenders. Plus they must be really, really tall. The guy had them stuck in the bases at weird angles, so I won't blame RH for that, but the many, many leg sets that are "running" (sauntering might be a better term) mostly end up looking wonky. Maybe none of them* are runners, but they give "running like a girl" a whole new level of insulting.

Maybe they'll look better when they are glued at a reasonable angle to the base. And in credible running positions. Geez.

I doubt it, but I want to remain open-minded. I still think some of them have hips that are too wide compared to the rest of the ribcage and shoulders.

I would post those on their website itself, rather than just for the backers to see. I realize the update is public, but not everyone stalks their last KS' page like... some of us do.

Well good for them being honest for once.

Although eventually, they are going to have to let someone go, they can't go from KS to KS just to satisfy their artists, although I this point I understand the need to keep them.

Although, if they could offer them a game design seminar, they could re-orient them...

Some things look great. I got a Kingdom Death vibe too from some of the Lust Elves. Except the worm riders are topless for the sake of being topless, to omo imas.

DotC and KotC, anything else is much less tempting. Strangely serene about this one.

KotC for Celestians. That's about it. Dreamforge/Statuesque have me covered for the S0B army, really. In HIPS. For about 2$ a girl, too.

Celibacy *did* drive my imagination, when I was younger.

I personally think they'll go higher than the last campaign, but nowhere near the 1.4M that is estimated by Kicktraq. There's bound to be a few that pull out for fear of not seeing their goal unlocked, but they'll overall be lost in the last 48 hours rush.

I'm still on the fence, I'm still only compelled by the KotC and DotC. The rest looks good, but not enough to get me lusting after them.

Suffice it to say, I have 0 interest in the VOid Elves and Lust Elves. Even the few freebies I've seen, I'd rather add them on rather than buy in at the Lt level because I would get so much chaff.

Let's assume I want a minimal pledge of DotC and KotC (say a box of troops and a command each) how much does that run?

Would I be ok with a 95$ pledge? If I understand correctly, I only shell out the shipping charge when they are actually ready to ship?

And is it me... or is Santa Dolores almost the same concept art as Nertha the Faceless Mother?

But... it's Raging Heroes. That's an assumption we might not safely make.

They've spent too much money (wink) on that concept art for it to have to wait three years to be used. Because at that point a Chinese factory might simply steal the concept and churn them out cheap. (That statement makes sense in my head, I might have to deconstruct it though)

Raging Heroes have a really hard time making credible running poses. I'm sorry, but that's just the way it is. You don't want to sculpt a real running pose either, because they look like gak. After every race, they offer to sell you pictures of you during the race... they all look horrible. It took me 8 years to find one I was sorta looking ok on.

Eh. Freebies are freebies. If they were meant to entice, I feel some of them are off the mark, but most of the pledgers were already way above Lt pledges, so I doubt very much that was the crux of their pledging.

I'm still undecided.

I just realized that in French, the Templar heroine's name can loosely be translated as "Who is she useful to?" which can also be a sexual innuendo.
