Looking superb! The hair joining looks great in particular.
What is the white material?

And it tickles me to scroll down using my phone and see Celestine hiding out in the background.

I don't think I'd have noticed if I were using a PC, but the auto resize showed it up.

Amazing work, and inspired me to make my Yarrick. It's DEFINITELY Ragnar, just way more dynamically-posed than the old metal. Great job, can't wait to see it painted.

Thanks guys!
The shoulder pad is from the original Ragnar.
The ideas is this is to be as much a retro homage as i can but in a modern flavour. (like my Mephiston conversions)

It certainly has all the heart and soul of the original but with a fresher more up-to-date look/feeling about it. Excellence
Could we maybe get a shot of your model standing next to the GW Ragnar for comparison and perspective?

Your Mephiston conversion is still, to this date, one of my all time favorite re-imaginings/conversions of an old school 40k sculpt, and this one too is just as, if not more awesome as that one. Brilliant work sir.

Had I the money, I would ask you to re-create your Mephiston build for me so I could have a unique Mephiston to lead my Blood Angels, instead of the ancient (though still kinda cool looking) standard sculpt we have from GW at present. At least GW updated the old Lemartes sculpt, which was the one most (desperately) in-need of revision.

Take it easy for now and keep up the great work!

I have to say back in the day (such a long time ago) my Ragnar Blackmane wasn't my favourite model simply due to the pose, although this was how they used to do them then.
You have solved that issue and kept true to the original, looks great

I've been playing a while, my first model was a lead marine and my first White Dwarf was bound with staples

Curious, doesn't blackmane have black hair?

These are my opinions. This is how I feel. Others may feel differently. This needs to be stated for some reason.

I have been doing a bit of work with some basing ideas.
I'm not going to go nuts base wise because its going to be for my gaming army and it has to be durable and roughly match my army base style.

This is a beautiful conversion. I was glad to see that you went with the oldschool Ragnar, with the blonde hair and the double banners. My only gripe would be that he is missing the characteristic scar across his left eye, I always thought that was one of the cooler things about him. Other than that it seems like an incredibly faithful rendition. Awesome work!
