Hello everybody!
we are extremely glad to announce our second collaboration with “the father of the monsters” Allan Carrasco: Mawhi - the whale man is NOW available!

http://www.aradiaminiatures.com/apps/webstore/products/show/6199666

This tropical monster is 80mm high (excluding the toucan), supplied with the anchor and the bird as separated pieces.
Thinking about the drawing up of this figure, we wanted a character who could synthesize the features of the deep ocean and the tropical forests: the result is this, is Mawhi.

Concept: Stefano Moroni
Sculptor: Allan Carrasco
Boxart: Mirko Cavalloni
Dimension: 80mm
High quality resin kit

Enjoy it!

Oh my yes, how large would he be when compared to say, a Warhammer Fantasy Ogre?

I just realized the fantasy miniatures community was sorely lacking in banana necklaces, till now. Or are those plantains?

That is one of the best miniatures I've seen that I have absolutely no use for, but still may purchase.

No wargames these days, more DM/Painting.

I paint things occasionally. Some things you may even like!

80mm=3" and change, so a bit shorter than a GI Joe or Star Wars figure.

From my painting experience, whale buttocks are not unlike ratmen, rhinomen, and troll buttocks.

Thanks Mierce.

I have one from IndieGoGo and it's fantastic. Huge, almost no mould lines, most parts have no visible seam line when dry fitting, so most of it should be paintable in seperate pieces without ANY prep work. That's BANANAS, pardon the pun.

If I find it in my pile-o-shame under the detrius of my current Chaos mutant squad conversion project I'll take some pics next to a plastic Ogre and a SM Term later todayi, okay?

Looking for a Skaven Doomwheel banner to repair my Nurgle knights.

Just a niggle, but it has a dorsal fin. A whale does not have a dorsal fin, a shark does but not a whale (dorsal fins and a fish thing, not a mammal thing).

It it bothered me too much and I ever got the model I'd have to file it off

A lot of them do have a little fin on their back. Not as prominent as the model and further down mostly but they do have them.

Hey, thank you all for the comments and appreciations!

Answering to who ask how large would Mawhi be compared to a warhammer Ogre: we don't have a warhammer Ogre here but Mawhi is bigger! He is exactly 80 mm high (excluding the toucan).

We want to communicate also that we are receiving a lot of orders at the same time and we are taking care of them: this morning (hour of central Europe ) we have shipped a part of the orders of yesterday. The remaining orders and the ones received today will be shipped between tomorrow the 2nd of September and Wednesday the 3rd. Anyway you'll receive a mail of confirmation after the shipping: if you don't find it in your usual mail, check inside spam!

I assume this is a adaptation of the mammal tail (the "tail" of the whale being an adaptation of the legs).

Cheers, like I said, just a personal niggle on an otherwise fantastic looking model.

Just awesome, jawesome even.

One of my friends has a strange fascination with whales, I think he's going to get one.

It'd make a nice stand in for a water elemental or possible something for the Hadross from Wrath of Kings.

Personally, I want to see an equally impressive sharkman.

I have no use for this in any wargaming context, but this model is so nice looking I might have to pick it up just to paint him.

I DO have one, if you don't mind

Minis are: old Breton M@A with Empire head, Black Reach Termi, AoS Retributor, Ogre Bruiser made from a regular Bull, so it should be a good "standard" WHFB Ogre representation. Bonus: A self-sculpted hammerhead shark dude for my sea monster Circle Oroboros, which Mawhi will join (I have two other shark men and two knuckle walking giant turtles). Never before seen on the net

Sorry for the crappy pics, but its raining and storming outside and my phone just can't handle low light conditions. You can't even see the beautiful face on the bret, which would not be out of place in a painting competition (and made me too scared to paint the rest of the mini, lest I ruin it )

Edit: And it looks like the "quote" part of the posts in Firefox are on the other end compared to my phones mobile version of the site, or some other reason for a total quote fail
