I'll find out tonight after I buy the Ironjaw battlepack and compare with what is in my hardcopy book. I'm gonna guess the only thing you miss out on is some fluff and artwork, but will know for certain tonight after work.

Subject: Age of Sigmar News & Rumours ~ RoB Boards, Silver Tower Expansion
Aelf/Sylvaneth info.
I use salt with this, but sound like plausible.
Should be an Fireslayers like release
2 Troops (one should be the morphed ael/dryad thing)
1 cavalry unit (Announced big)
1 Large Monster kit (beetle i guess)
Aelf Battletome
Aelf Painting Guide
Maybe missing 1 to 3 heroes pack.
I hope the Large beetle will have different options (like Fireslayer wyrm)
/cheers.
bob.
Lol how is this even a rumour? Sounds plausible because it's just the Fyreslayers release schedule matched up to the images we have seen so far. I guess the inclusion of a "cavalry" unit is a somewhat bold move. :p
Matches pretty closely to the format of the Ironjawz release as well.

Although, have we fast forwarded in time, or did those 3 cities come flat-packed? I thought it has only been a year since Vandus and the Hammers first stormed the Gate of Azyr?
I think they are just putting some spackle and a fresh coat of paint over some defensible ruins and building up from there. If you look to the right, some of those arches have seen better days.

Ya, its the Priest with 2 handed axe, he's also on the cover of the rulebook if you look closely

I liked the audio dramas the most, which are available now as books (at least digitally, not sure on standard print).

Certainly beats the shoeless soldier of old.
No hybrid mutant beast will ever replace Powder Monkey. The true power of The World That Was. He will rise again.
I was just debating what army I was going to collect next year. Almost ordered some Ironjawz after I saw the 40k stuff and assumed it would be heavily 40K for the first part of 2017, and this news drops.
DoT it is!

Subject: Age of Sigmar News & Rumours ;137 FAQ update
I promised myself that I'd just get the book and dice, as I have plenty of Rotbringers to paint. $250 bucks later, when I combine my 2 Silver Tower boxes, I've got a decent sized DoT army...

Subject: Re:Age of Sigmar News & Rumours ; Pg 140 New Lord of Change, pic in first post!
I got a side project where I'm going to make all 9 Gaunt Summoners and his upper body sans head will be the basis of 2 conversions.
One of my favorite rules in matched play is "You cannot have more than 9 Gaunt Summoners in your army." Its meaningless in a rules context but a humorous nod to the fluff.
Yeah, I painted up one of my Silver Tower GS's and I don't want to make the one from my second box exactly the same, so the hobby monkey jumped on my back and gave me the idea to do all 9 as individual conversions. Like one on a Manticore, a burning chariot, a different disc, use different robes for the lower half. Rules-wise they wouldn't be Gaunt Summoners, but it would make them all unique.
Honestly, I'll probably tap out after my 3rd conversion, and this project will join all of my other ambitious but aborted conversion projects.

What's happening?!?
I think the Khorne guys are dungeon enemies as well. The Slaughterpriest looks like he's ready to take a swing at the Corsair, and finish whatever was started when something took his leg off.
Might be all 3 of the currently active gods teaming up to take down one of Orders new cities?

I didn't see any sprue pics though.
Ah, bummer. Thanks for the info though
Just got home and reread the article. The Lord Aquilor is the subject of the painting, so it's still possible that the regular dudes are separate, like the Varanguard.
